In other words, it's a great place to go so long as someone else is paying.

Why do they call these glass enclosed concrete eyesores 'Hills'? Hills are pleasant to look at - this junk isn't.

Isn't it Don Quixote?

Personally I prefer Shiga Kogen, better range of runs for intermediate skiiers. Hakuba is great if you're advanced though. Nozawa is better than these 2 though.

It is far too early for Christmas trees.

I agree, 30 Nov is the earliest they should be out.

I'm in the culinary industry, and a sandwich is anything with bread, either hot or cold. So burgers, pizzas, canapes, subs, and etc are considered sandwiches.

Ok shall we try going to a pizza shop, especially in Japan, and asking for a Hawaiian or a Super Supreme Sandwich? Might be amusing for 5 minutes.

Posted in: Warm Biz campaign kicks off across Japan See in context

These 'campaigns' are just condescending crap: -

“You can lower the heat if you enjoy ‘nabe’ with your family and friends, making both bodies and the room warm. The temperature will feel higher than it actually is thanks to steam from the pot,”

Gee whiz, what a brain wave.

Why call a burger a sandwich? They're 2 different things.

Just give me a power socket and wifi and remove those convoluted and entertainment systems. There's never anything worth watching, would rather watch stuff on You Tube for 12 hours.

Posted in: JR Kyushu takes off See in context

We are now likely to see them competing much more aggressively with Nishitetsu in the Fukuoka suburban area and also against JR West's Kyushu section of the Sanyo Shinkansen (Hakata - Kokura) on the classic Hakodate Main Line now that they are a truly for profit business. Some of the lines in the South of Kyushu (like the line damaged by the Aso Earthquake) I would say are candidates for closure or transferred to a 3rd sector operator.

Ishihara, aka the village idiot, strikes again. Placing a food market of any kind on reclaimed land in the heavily contaminated Tokyo Bay doesn't take a brain surgeon to deduce that it probably isn't a good idea.

All women know that a circumcised penis is much cuter and more satisfying to play with than an uncircumcised one.

What an I'll informed, sweeping statement. You've asked every female on the planet for their opinion have you?

Posted in: Train men See in context

Whatever. I can't possibly imagine sitting at home and looking at pictures I took of trains -- just trains -- or bothering to learn about years and models and lines if it did nothing to affect how and where I travelled and served no meaningful function in my life. but if it floats their boats, so to speak. The only time this really bothers me is when they get in the way on platforms or climb fences or areas you're not supposed to be in to get better shots (and sometimes smoke on the platform waiting for the next train), walk around mumbling, etc.

But you managed to find the time and energy to once again sink the boot into an aspect of life in Japan that you take exception with. Why not let railfans enjoy what they do and folks like you and your ilk can get back to the sport which you obviously have a preference for.

Choose life, get a life more like.

What don't you set an example and stop commenting on stuff you obviously have no interest in? Some people think people obsessing over overpaid individuals chasing a ball around a paddock is as banal as you think this activity maybe but choose not to spoil their fun.
