Just keep this scribble away from the trains thanks. The most refreshing thing about Japan (& also Korea) is the lack of defacement from scribblers on the trains. Long may it stay that way.

I've been saying for years that the aviation catering industry ought to be outsourced to the fast food companies. The horrible concoctions known as airline food are worse than anything even Mickie D's can churn out. The sooner this sort of thing happens the better IMO.

Gee what a shock, corruption and the IOC still exist. I guess since all the attention has been on FIFA they thought no one would look if they got back into their old tricks.

My tips for dealing with Ikea
1) Don't do it 2) If you ignore rule one go only on a Monday morning when it first opens (not a holiday, a work day - take the morning off) 3) Go in via the exit to avoid the maze 4) Get the hell out as quickly as possible once task completed.

If you can't handle the slurping of others eating noodles, Asia is not the place for you then. It does 2 things, it cools the noodles as they enter your mouth and is less likely to splash on your shirt. Try it both ways with a Curry Laksa for example and see which method creates less oil stains.
