I agree Yubaru. Plus the quotes do not work correctly, and when you post a comment it sends you back to the top of the story title.

Oh yeah, of course Abe will use this as an excuse to raise the consumption tax again, then watch the flip on the economy.

Nothing wrong with sleeping in separate bedrooms especially when working hours are different. It does not have to affect sex life at all.

When eventually the parent with a pension dies, does the son/daughter have to sell the house completely before being to go on welfare? Anyone know?

The lady playing the piano can get a job just like the other 40% that cannot get so called fulltime real jobs.

The quote aspect here is not working correctly. It took my second paragraph and added it to the quote. :-(

Posted in: Aso pushes back against U.S. pressure for bilateral trade deal See in context

Tokyo fears a two-way agreement would expose it to stronger U.S. pressure to open up politically-sensitive markets like agriculture and beef. But what about all the other things? I am amazed at the difference in prices of things on "Amazon.com" compared to "Amazon.co.jp" . Prices on the American site are often 10 to 13 times cheaper for the exact same item. Why? And Japan refuses to let you send it here direct. You have to mail it to a stateside address first which is a hassle.

Was he suppose to get permission from Abe or someone else of that statute?

Emergency rooms are jammed in America by the uninsured.

Going to a doctor in Japan seems to be a way for lonely old people to talk to someone.

I believe America has an education issue that causes all these problems. Japan has a bullying problem. All countries have their own issues. Live with it as it will not change.

I preordered a Muslim meal, and when it came, all these people wanted to know if I was a Muslim. My response was that this is the best way to get some good salmon cooked and sashimi at the same time.

“She’s got this energy that goes beyond age, and that can equal any young person’s here,” said 25-year-old clubber Fuminari Fujii.

I have met very very few Japanese people that don't constantly use the word Tsukareta.

All 25 year olds should be able to have more energy than an 82 old lady.

Why do Japanese people always say Tsukareta?

Watching TV dramas show you that bullying is rampant in this society and ingrained in the culture. It starts at a very young age and goes right up until death.

It will not change.

I had one bike stolen so I bought a new one. Two months later cops called me up and said we have your bike. I said I no longer need it and they said then I had to come down and pay ¥500 or take the bike. A thief stole it, I had to fork out more money for a new one, and now the cops wanted me to pay for it. Stupid.

Most are not abandoned by their owners, but rather by thieves stealing them and when they get to the station they do not even lock them up.

I asked about it at my local Koban.
