This is not only a question about his religion but also what he don't want to eat, for example, vegans, a person who only consumption is green stuff, what if some mistake he was served meat, without realizing it, he ate it, then, knowingly latter he eat meat that definitely piss him off, or, about people who only want to eat meat, what if his food has vegie in there...sound ridiculous, but this is what i respect about japan, they respect other people not cuz his right but this is how they do it at their country, respect.
