Posted in: Gov't to shorten quarantine period for vaccinated travelers See in context

People who have been fully vaccinated will be able to go outside as long as they test negative for the virus after 10 days following their arrival

Yeah I'm guessing the PCR test would be self-sponsored after 10 days?

Thanks but I'd rather do two weeks of quarantine than add another item to the travel spending list, starting from the ridiculous negative PCR ~English~ certificate to private taxi fares.

Since Japanese imperial family members do not have passports, the princess needs to first create a family registry with Komuro as an ordinary citizen before applying for her passport.

Would she have a last name (before she gets married)?

Perfect, mind easing quarantine restrictions for those returning to Japan while you're at it?

Would be great news for when I travel.

Wishing everyone a speedy recovery.

In these times it's quite hard not to catch it, but they are vaccinated so it's just a matter of waiting it out until they recover.

@ulysses

That’s not a surprise, Russia has a lot of poor people who live in unhygienic conditions. It is a Petri dish for the virus.

Clearly you've never been to Russia. Who hurt you???

Not surprised, the quality of this vaccine has raised serious questions.

Maybe he should have taken a real vaccine, Pfizer, Astra Zeneca or Moderna….*

You can still get COVID even if you are vaccinated (with either Pfizer, Sputnik V, Moderna etc.). Please educate yourself.

Jesus, DQed an athlete with intellectual disabilities for arriving 3 minutes late. Bravo.

Also, if you're going to hate on someone, don't hate on Ukrainians, hate on the organisers/referees. Kinda feel bad for the Ukrainian team here.

Japanese hip hop artist Zeebra, who performed at the event, said in a Twitter post, "I performed at yesterday's Namimonogatari because I was told that rules set by the prefectural government will be followed (at the venue), but it was a dangerous environment."

Yeah try to back out of it...what a sore loser.

Posted in: Foot traffic still high despite state of emergency See in context

People would be gone from the streets if a 'lockdown' like the one in April 2020 was in place, i.e. department stores/shops all closed throughout the day. Loads of people still roaming Shinjuku, Omotesando, Shibuya. How do I know this? Yup, you're right.

If the volunteers are going in and out of the Olympic village daily, catching trains home and then back to the village again daily……..how is it a bubble?

MTE. Also add the national team's officials/staff who are also free to roam the streets.

Saw some ladies in official national hoodies (quick google search proved it) the other week travelling down to Shonan.

Actually, looking at other news outlets, there is no mention of Russia's Lavrov criticising the Yasukuni visits, or mentioning them in any way, but rather mostly Wang Yi's claims.

Wait, you mean the Russian narrative spread in recent years that all of Europe was liberated by the Red Army and the US and its allies only landed in Normandy when it was too late and liberated only a negligible part of Europe?

There is no such narrative. Russia always states that Europe was liberated with the help of the Allies, however it is a true fact that the Red Army took the biggest toll.

You can't deny that the Red Army did the majority of work, from liberating East Europe up to taking Berlin. The Allies (incl US) did their part in the West (however chronologically later).
