Let Russia set up military based near American borders, see what they say then.

Unsurprising & they'd expected it anyway with the New Years End holidays & Orthodox Christmas and NYE. Cases are likely to increase in the next week.

Aside from pension, would this also have to do something with the exceptionally high amount one needs to bury someone? Got an ad slip in the mail the other day and was shocked to see the hundred thousand number for the cheapest 'plan'.

As someone who has NATO soldiers back in their home country, we don't want them.

Ukraine is desperately trying its very best to be US' buddy but in all seriousness is nothing but a puppet. I mean, the president is a literal ex-comedian.

Happy for him, but not genuinely.

After Maezawa's tricks and contests and twitter hype, this just seems like another marketing trick to get more famous and kakkoii.

Posted in: Biden warns Putin of strong Western response to any Ukraine attack See in context

What does Biden and the US even have to do in territories way far away than their own?

The only reason the US' is even concerned with Ukraine is just so that they can set up another NATO site close to the Russian border. And then complain Russia is being aggressive, ironic.

Russia deploys missiles near their own territory.

Similarly they should go to the US-Canada border and deploy military there lol, would love to see the US' reaction since this is exactly what they/Nato are doing.

So say your average Taro or Hanako get 250,000, 3% increase on that is a mere 7500...

Maybe Jens Stoltenberg should try going on the Ukraine-Russia border and then make asumptions and statements.

Either way it's still a joke that NATO roams freely in European countries incl. Ukraine.

Posted in: Sputnik jab proves ineffective against resistant Russians See in context

How many Russians do you think have read or even heard of the Lancet?

Actually if you read/watch Russian news, they often refer to Lancet.

But with antivaxxers no matter how big of a journal/person says that "vaccine A - good", they will probably not change the "vaccine - bad" mindset.

They should really shut down the border as many people opt to travel during this 'holiday'.

Really hope antivaxxers can come to their senses and get the jab.

Posted in: Russian COVID spike persists, setting new death record See in context

99% of the death cases are of those unvaccinated, the vaccine itself does its job for those who took it, and it's funny to see some people discredit Sputnik V without reading all the details.

Some of these comments showing 0 compassion just because it's Russia, just vile.

Posted in: Gov't to shorten quarantine period for vaccinated travelers See in context

People who have been fully vaccinated will be able to go outside as long as they test negative for the virus after 10 days following their arrival

Yeah I'm guessing the PCR test would be self-sponsored after 10 days?

Thanks but I'd rather do two weeks of quarantine than add another item to the travel spending list, starting from the ridiculous negative PCR ~English~ certificate to private taxi fares.

Posted in: Princess Mako's boyfriend arrives from U.S. for wedding See in context

Since Japanese imperial family members do not have passports, the princess needs to first create a family registry with Komuro as an ordinary citizen before applying for her passport.

Would she have a last name (before she gets married)?

Wishing everyone a speedy recovery.

In these times it's quite hard not to catch it, but they are vaccinated so it's just a matter of waiting it out until they recover.
