Will Putin reference those from the former SSRs, including those Ukrainians who were killed fighting for Moscow and against the Nazis from Hitler's Germany.

Yes, every time he references not Russia, but USSR, which included many countries, Ukraine, Belarus, Georgia, Armenia, and so on. Specifically mentioning that there were many nations (in this case SSR nations) that suffered casualties and fought during WWII.

One would know this if they actually researched.

Big thing to mention is that this ceasefire & rescue was organised by the Russian army, whilst Azov&Ukrainian army only wanted to trade civilian women & children for food, essentially using them as human shields.
