Until every endangered ground nesting piping plover and rare hibernating lizard is guaranteed a safety and wellness check, Biden's FAA and EPA won't let crazy Musk launch his rockets.

Should just stop building anything in America.

Too many potential risks to workers and chemicals and the environment and stuff.

But nimby lawyers wouldn't get paid suing every construction project possible, so I guess we have to keep trying! Ganbare americans who want to build stuff!

Decrease in exhaust fumes and respiratory illness alone is worth the switch to electric.

the whole "tax free" system is more of a bureaucratic mess than a useful revenue stream, as someone who has waited in the "tax free" line at akiba donkey while various ppls passports failed to scan, please just kill it with fire

Posted in: Tesla's Musk condemned for Hitler tweet as he rips U.S. regulator See in context

But when democratic regimes call him out on his irresponsible and possibly criminal acts he whines like a petulant child.

I think democrats should claim Elon as their own, the strategy of Warren and Bernie attacking him as some tax cheat and Biden ignoring Tesla is terrible. Whatever dem strategist came up with that should be fired, honestly I think between the Joe Rogan and Elon hate the dems are shooting themselves in the foot when they could easily have a larger more inclusive tent. Elon and Rogan are totally liberal progressives at heart, they just want to see concrete practical action from their government.

Tesla has a nice range calculator with temperature estimate, surprising:

https://www.tesla.com/jp/models#range-calculator

Also without the very heavy inefficient internal combustion engine and transmission you save weight for the battery, plus way more cargo space than a hybrid.

@Burning Bush

Automated cars aren't just about safety, you could read a book or do other things while your car drives. And we could improve traffic flow in general, time to destination etc.

What amazes me about this result is the leniency on seatbelt usage in Japan and yet a low death toll, probably some missing data here.

Japan has one of the lowest homicide rates of any country in the world, try writing up the life story of all the 10,000+ people murdered in the USA each year.

JT would have to write 30 of these articles a day!

@zichi, @toshiko It says 'tattoos which might scare other people'... to be defined at some later date. Probably means yak style full color back tatoos et al not your average tramp stamp or youthful indiscretion: http://www.city.zushi.kanagawa.jp/syokan/keizai/umi/p05594.html

From visits last year I would say that in general the US base people were better behaved than the out of town jp kids though.
