Yes, considering how most gaijin who can't even tell Asian nationals from one another, the task of discerning Japanese regional identities is such an asinine ordeal.

47-year-old woman went through business passengers’ bags on long haul flights out of Paris.

Who cares about the theft, why was this mutton dressed as lamb allowed to serve on board in the first place?

It's a relief that ANA focused on promoting the original franchise which was tale of a teenage boy becoming an adult with war in the back drop instead of the recent ones that are quite worrying: an effeminate teenager or child soldier who kills his own family turning into a pseudo-Christ like figure.

If you ask anyone in Japan today, "Are you proud to be Japanese" they will tell you that it is a difficult question to answer. People in Japan today has lost their true identity and no longer know who they really are as a person. They are always trying to copy another countrys

It may have something to do with how the Americans, and the Allied collaborators wrote the constitution and in such a way that caused this recent political gridlock to occur.

Sadly, there is no warning on the labels or any sort public awareness campaign. In fact, it is kept secret by the J-health authorities. You can also add the fact that dolphin meat is incorrectly labeled and sold as whale to squash any of the warnings that the masses may have picked up in international news.

It's pretty silly as you say. Just like the whole racket about the propensity of American beef to BSE, the government could've labeled all the American beef in supermarkets as a 'Product of the USA' and let the consumers make up their mind.

I don't get this meat toxicity argument, we can just warn the consumers that there is high concentration of mercury, and they might still eat it.

Just a coincidence that a dolphin/whale show, the kind of entertainment that is spread throughout the western being made of an example of animal cruelty happened to be a Japanese establishment right?

Yes, it's all just a coincidence ole'boy. Just like the fact that SS only goes after Japanese whalers out of all the environmental causes they could take up.

The only reason why they go via Taipei is because the narrow body A320 jet can't make the 6 hour flight without refueling.

Reminds of me the good 'ole days of long trips on the DC-8 and B707s

Sadly, the 'raciest' stigma goes much further than just the right-wing nuts. Many Japanese people are adopting the same attitude towards Bethune, New Zealand, Australia and even SS for that matter. I speak to many Japanese adults in my work and am yet to speak to one that doesn't believe that all the anti-whaling is just racism against Japan, which is an opinion fueled by ignorance and propaganda like that nut holding the sign and Japan Inc. in general. Japan has proven their obstanance and ignorance time and time again and it is about time rest of the world stopped patronizing these children and sent them to bed without their whale, dolphin and tuna fillets.

Yeah, it's just a coincidence that they ONLY go after Japanese whalers out of all environment plundering ventures out there including ocean oil drillers (white dominated industry)

As for the suspended sentence, I saw it coming, did anyone else?

Posters on JT have widely criticised the Japanese justiciary for delivering this sentence for convictions in grievous bodily harm, manslaughter and child abuse. Now our very learned judges are giving this eco-terrorist an opportunity to escape jail if he stops giving the whalers a run for their money. OH THE IRONY

Secondary Objective: Earn prison sentence, live off the taxpayers.

Oh great. Most of us expats live in Meguro, Shinagawa or Minato ku. So that means a 30 minute Yamanote Line trip to Ueno and If it is replacing the Keisei Skyliner, then it takes 15 minutes and lots of stairs to get to the platform. The Narita Express or the 35000 JPY helicopter from Ark Hills makes better sense.

Why can't you go to Nippori instead? Oh I am sorry, I didn't know you Yamanote dwellers were unaware of transportation in Shitamachi
