Trump is the most anti war president of our lifetime.

He has clearly demonstrated that by now.

The only economic stimulus any country can get is having babies. Japan is poor at having babies. No amount of economic exports can solve that problem fershur..

The United States and the English speaking world is 'not a dying power'.. They can absolutely defend themselves.

Japan needs to step up and defend itself, or pay for US protection.

How much is the life of your family's child worth? Those US soldiers are people with lives and families like anyone else.

Trump is representing his country.

Meanwhile, its a Japanese tanker, what is Japan going to do about if?

This was a clear slap on the Prime Minister.

I hear that detecting small wooden boats using Radar is quite difficult. Small boats, of course, could be effective, but only if they immediately used force.

Todays surveillance technologies will not hide a wooden boat. But these vessels might used to see Japanese surveillance tech for other uses.

If I Was North Koreans, I would keep sailing to south Korea and never go back, but probably, every boat has a communists enforcer.

Who knows, perhaps they are operated by the North's Navy.

What the administration is saying is, higher oil prices are good for THE United States, we will not come to your defense, it’s time to start buying more of our oil, while we squeeze the Mullahs.

But if the Mullah are stupid enough to attack a US or English asset, it’s over for them.

What's to be gained from a War with Iran ? And would there be any clear winners ?

Iran signed its death warrant back in 1979 when they held Americans hostage in their own embassy, (sovereign US territory) and consequently all the Americans they have killed. Its only a matter of time before it all comes to an end. They have had their run.

Meanwhile, what is the Norwegian and Japanese Navies going to do?

In the Zapruder film had better quality resolution than this grainy b&w video.

They used to put effort into propaganda, these days it's comically inept.

3( +8 / -5 )

You do not understand, the video is not shot with 4 K movie Camera, its shot using highly sophisticated phased aperture arrays, that construct images from microwaves using sophisticated super computers. They can see through storms, and from satellite or an aegis system miles away. There is not an inch of Iran not being watched...

Remember, the United States of America under Trump is now the largest oil producer and one of the larger exporter in the world.

So, this whole drama is great for the United States income.

W know the reality is, according to the captain, there was an Iranian navy vessel and flying objects hitting his ship.

I do not see this as contradicting Americans, I think Japan should send it's own Navy to defend it's interests.

Everyone knows unlike Past US Presidents, Trump has always opposed middle eastern wars, and made quick work of ISIL.

He even parted ways with Mad dog over keeping troops in Syria. Trump is not interested in war. But, he is not interested in fake deals like the Obama deal.

In the end, this was a Japanese tanker, a Japanese problem. Trump doesn’t need to do anything. It was a slap on Abe’s face. He was in Tehran when it happened

Ignorance of how US law works is why anyone would think Trump has any constitutional authority over city violence. The feds have no jurisdiction, yet The mayor of London has direct Authority over London.

Act of war against Japan, either Saudi Arabia or Iran did it.

They know Japan is weak, they would not dare attack a British, Indian or American flagged ship.

Posted in: Abe denounces attacks on tankers near Strait of Hormuz See in context

Whomever did this attack, it was a direct assault on Japan and her standing in the world. They timed it to concede with Abe's visit to Tehran, knowing very well its a Japan flagged tanker, just to put Japan in its place.

They are taunting Japan

What business is it of Japan as to who gives loans to China?

> Japan is a big funder of ADB

Why should Japan fund a country with a larger economy than itself? Should China give the United States and Japan cheap money like they give Ethiopia?

Trump has no 'domestic legal woes'. The Democrats who attempted a coup have domestic legal woes. Commie (communist??) Clapper.. etc, etc are in real trouble when all the stuff comes out.

Meanwhile, I have never been a fan of Bolton. He is part of the Cabal that led us into problems with Iraq. He and Cheney. Not a fan. I am not a fan of iran mullahs either, but I would rather Israel took them out, not the United States. Perhaps the Israelis and Saudis can take the Mullah's out?

Posted in: Trump announces higher tariffs on $200 billion of Chinese goods See in context

Serrano: "China, which is a huge economic threat to the U.S." This is what it's all about. The reality is China is the second largest economy after the US and in the near future will be the largest and this is what the US is afraid of. The US wants to continue, not only its military and political domination of the globe, but also its economic domination. Washington is not so concerned about the Chinese military but about losing economic domination and hence global dictatorship. With the lose of economic supremacy the US will lose its ability to stranglehold the globe with boycotts and sanctions.

> Muratafan: " China steals IP, manipulates currency, subsidizes industries and bullies its neighbors." This is what the US has been doing for the past 70 years. Do some reading!

> So you would rather be under the Chinese boot instead of the American boot?

Governing by tweet sure is awesome for those that lack the intellectual capacity to govern correctly

> How is this 'relevant to this topic and why is it still up on the poster board? After all any 'pro trump' posts are promptly removed as being off topic by the masters

Meanwhile, Tariff's are an excellent way of forcing a settlement. For years Americans have voted for administrations that promised to have trade policies that promoted American interests only to end up with one sided arrangements controlled by outside forces. At last there is a president who is negotiating on behalf of the United States against predatory trade practices of China.
