Depends on the exchange rate, what currency I can buy it in, how long shipping takes / costs, etc.
You really are rubbish at decent conversation angles. I imagine the Shibuya office is a laugh a minute, eh guys.

Music school = fail.
Who do you know who makes genuinely ground-breaking original music who went to music school.
They will all be able to do cracking out of tune renditions of Yesterday, when they "graduate" for sure, but apart from that, we will never see these girls again.

Standard behaviour for Japan, to be honest.
I did the Akabane half Marathon on the 20th Feb.
The queue for the toilet on-site was insane.
I just walked off site, went to 7-11, came back and ran. Took about 5 minutes.
Nothing will change in Japan, so no need to complain. Let the asians do what they do, and sit back, safe in the knowledge that you come from somewhere better.

Posted in: Low-budget filmmaking workshop to be held in Tokyo by Stephen Cleary See in context
I imagine the budgets are pretty high in Japan. It is the people that make them that suck here.
A case of 'all the gear and no idea'.
As for my first comment; I might actually make a film to prove this.
My shopping list consists of;
Editing software = 0円 (already got everything I need) Computers = 0円 (already got them) Camera=0円 (already got one) Script=0円 (I have an imagination) Actors=0円 (SOOOO many wannabe actors in Japan desperate for a break. No money required here) Distribution=0円 (everything can be done online, and I already have webspace and an internet connection) Lighting=0円 (Low budget film, so all atmos can be dealt with post-production)
The only thing I can think that would actually cost any money would be train fares to locations, and the odd bit of make up and a prop or two, which could also be ruled out given the right script.
So yeah, 50,000円 for what is essentially peer editing already available on the zillions of forums on the net. Wishful thinking!

Low budget film making seminar which costs 50,000yen.
You could make an entire film for that, if you played your cards right.

Posted in: Namie Amuro's 'PAST < FUTURE' hits No. 1 in 5 countries See in context
OK, in the name of fair play, I decided to sit through some of 'her' music on Youtube...
Impressions;
-It is a direct copy of every American music meme from 3 years ago, and as a result is just American urban pop with Japanese levered in where possible. This includes the videos. -The programming of the drums is sub-par -There is no bassline hook (the MAJOR thing that the Japanese have no idea how to do) -I imagine it would work well with Japanese teenagers who desire a buffer zone between themselves and the genuine western article -She is attractive enough
Conclusion; I have no idea why anybody from the west would choose this over something genuine, as it is just a rip off.

Lots of unanswered questions;
What was the content of the DVD; photos, video, what was the girl actually doing, was it just a DVD of files or was there a menu etc (which if present, would hint at the influence of others in the production), etc...

"What now minors are compared to "game"; like deer are "game" for hunters in deers season?!!
Believe it varies by prefecture; however child protection laws set the age at 18 -unless you got parental permission and were allowed to marry."
Fair game, as in allowed to be amorously pursued with a view to courtship, not hunted like an animal, obviously.
As a British citizen, I legally and morally consider 16 to be an acceptable age for sexual relations, so for a man to be charged for something like this when the girl is 16 seems wrong to me.
Had he kidnapped the girl, then yeah, prosecute, but if she went of her own free will, I see know problem. The age gap is a bit of an issue, and does seem to point at the fact that the guy may be a little on the immature / odd side, but from the perspective of this situation being a crime, I think that is overkill.
