Posted in: Former Nova teacher pleads guilty to defrauding students in Hawaii bank scam See in context

Used to work for NOVA, and old NOVA employed anyone and everyone. Most were some decent, fun people looking to experience a new culture. This dude was so stupid! he was much better off putting it in a CD and taking a percentage of the profit. He would be able to have some free, extra, honest cash for his family. What an idiot.

Posted in: Surprising number of Japanese kids still bathe with their parents up until high school See in context

I have 3 kids and it is normal for my whole family, with 2 boys and 1 girl in elementary school, to take baths together.

I actually can't understand how any father or mother would want to harm, internally or externally, their child.

My father and mother acted very English about nudity, and i feel it made it worse for me as it makes nudity seem dirty and obscene.

In the family, like naturalism, it's only as wierd and perverted as you yourself make it out to be as most parents love their kids so so deeply, as i do my kids. I don't want my kids to treat the opposite sex as only sexual objects. We are all human beings who want to be loved and understood, without judgement. Of course, if my boys or girl ever feel uncomfortable with taking baths together, they don't need to.

Kudos to the mother. Must take a lot of guts and fear of public shaming for doing the right thing. It's amazing that the boy could get 2 Mil without their parents knowledge. Must be pocket money to them. If I even lose 10,000 yen, I notice it straight away.

Posted in: Woman gets 3-4 years for suffocating 16-day-old daughter in garbage bag See in context

I guess their young age and potential foolishness was a factor in this case. It might be that the Japanese system wants to give young people like them a 2nd chance. RIP new born baby, may they never ever forget how stupid they were for doing something so stupid.

He bought so many small pointless things with public money that he could have easily used his own money for: Pajamas and a skirt for his daughter; mangas; trips to his ranch etc. His selfishness was the straw that broke that camel's back! Smart guy but selfish.

Posted in: 6-year jail term sought for man who cut off love rival's penis See in context

Ikki looks rock solid and is a strong, former boxer! that guy had it coming! I would never mess with this guy. I'm sure that 6 year jail sentence will be the easiest time in his life, as he imagines what he did the the guy. Totally like the game of thrones...

Posted in: Survey asks Japanese women what professions they don’t want to date See in context

I guess I'd be put into the small business owner category, but I personally always make time for friends and family. Also, having the romantic dates really help me unwind and enjoy what I do. I have a flexible schedule, disposable income and have to really understand people. Furthermore, any of my future kids can inherit the business if they want to. But I do agree about the safety net.

Posted in: 47-year-old man arrested after body parts of missing 6-year-old Kobe girl found See in context

RIP Mirei. My daughter has the same name (I have 3 kids). We live in Tokyo and know how much you hope it doesn't happen to your child. Everyday my son walks back alone. He's 7. If someone touched my daughter or sons, I'd never ever forgive that person... never. In my son's school, 2 times this almost happened in 2 years. Every time the parents get informed. Times have changed so much.
