Everyone is so keen to judge without waiting to hear all the facts. It's entirely possible this woman was a terrible mother and should have never been allowed to take care of her baby alone. It's also entirely possible that this woman was suffering from a severe and debilitating form of post-natal depression and left feeling at her wits end with little help in a country that offers little recognition or support for an array of mental health conditions. Either way she'll have to live with the ramifications of her actions for the rest of her life. It's a very sad situation, whatever the causes.
