The only reason there is a drop is because there isnt anything new or worth buying as of right now. The sales will sky rocket when a few new franchise games come out like Diablo 3, MoH5, Rainbow 6, and many others.

Posted in: Obama says health care critics use 'scare tactics' See in context

We already tried Universal Health Care in the US and it was in Obama's state. Hawaii stopped the plan in just 7 months due to the cost it was going to take to pay for the plan. Keiki Care was only covered for kids and just that small portion of people signing up for the plan were engulfing a majority of the budget spending.

http://www.thefreelibrary.com/Hawaii+ending+universal+child+health+care-a01611674035

If the Hawaiian State Government couldn't take care of a Universal Health Care plan just for the thousands of kids in Hawaii, how can the US Government run a Universal Health Care plan for 300+ million people?

Posted in: Do you support the planned transfer by 2014 of U.S. Marines from Okinawa to Guam? See in context

I don think they should go per se but I do believe that we do need to cut a bunch of land that those bases never use. Some of that land on base are 2-4 football fields long and wide sometimes and its just grass. All of the bases on the main land are very well planned and still have enough space to feel like the US. Okinawan bases are so spread apart, you can put all of the main land bases just inside Kadena AB.

Cut a good amount of the space on the bases and things would be better.

Posted in: Great final shows WBC has potential See in context

I believe if they made this tournament more towards the begining of the MLB Season, more American players (and other nationals) would play. The fact that most of the MLB players and American fans were concentrating more on the MLB season in the states, the WBC was on the back burner to their real career. Just like the Olympic basketball team, Americans have the choice out of a lot of players to play but only a few say yes. It doesn't mean the players on the American team are the best in America, it means those players on the field are the ones that said yes. It has the potential but it will be more like soccer(football) to the mindset of Americans.

Japan and Korea brought their best players but Japan had the better game. They've proven that they are the best.

If you think one side slings the most mud, then you're just as guilty. Both sides use their money and power to make the other person look bad when they should be using that money and power to show what their campaign can do for the American people.

I'll be the odd one out on here. Im really glad that the construction is over. I hated all of the detours and terrible traffic around Nihonbashi when they were rebuilding the Mitsukoshi department store.

Posted in: Man found dead on street after suspected hit-and-run See in context

Out of all the years and countries I have driven in, I have not had one situation dealing with hitting a pedestrian. The amount of carelessness people have while driving is mind blowing. I've even seen people get hit by cars that run red lights in Tokyo. I don't understand how some people receive their license to drive at times. This is terrible news and should be something that needs to be addressed in driver's education or legal legislation (but most likely it won't).

Posted in: Forbes magazine says that golfer Tiger Woods is on track to become the world's first billionaire athlete by 2010. What do you think of the astronomical sums of money that sports stars are paid? See in context

I believe that Tiger Woods deserves all of his earnings. You guys don't know how much Tiger Woods contributes to society. He holds many children and other programs, events, and activities to keep kids active and keeping them positive in life. He give tons of money to charities and has a few of his own. His endorsements with Nike and others do give him more money but they are also make money from him. Other athletes may not deserve all the money but majority of these players in all sports contribute to society more than you think. The media just eats up all of the negative things athletes do because that's what makes ratings. You can't say anything about Tiger Woods anyways because he doesn't do anything negative. Even his comment on Hockey wasn't that bad. Give Tiger Woods what he diserves and know that he is the best athlete the world has ever seen.

Posted in: Japanese game shows coming to America See in context

I don't think it will be that great since American humor it far different than Japanese humor. I have shown people first hand Japanese humor and they just thought it was "weird" or "stupid". People will watch it at first but will go back to watching Survivor or some other crap. I actually like watching Japanese comedy shows because sometimes the simple things put you at ease.

Posted in: Nintendo DS game console helps spur interest in English in Japan classrooms See in context

Come to think about it, all of the games learning Japanese have been for Japanese people or for people who have already studied Japanese. There is not one game that has been made for English speaking people trying to learn Japanese from basic. Once they make that game, more people with a DS (or soon to be) will want to learn Japanese.

Most people hate USA because you have a better chance of being successful and powerful in USA than you do in any country. People who hate are usually the ones who dont succeed.

Posted in: A punching bag on the Odakyu line See in context

I have never been in a situation like this myself; most likely because I am almost 200cm tall and I can be very intimidating; But, I have had people try to push me around on the trains. I could understand what happened to you because I have seen it done before but I have spoken up to stop it. I may not try to use force but just a simple word or phrase can help the situation. I have noticed this too much in Japan. Not one person will lend a hand or even bother to notice what is going on. I know for a fact that if this same situation was in the US, the attacker would be in the hospital/jail for a few days. Japanese people have become very soft and it can be depressing at times. Just a few people can stop a big problem. Now, I'm not saying you should stick your head into every situation. But a situation like this or the rapes on the bullet trains could have been prevented if someone would have stood up against those people. These people will realize in that split second that they are in the wrong and will correct themselves or other people with correct them.
