Of all the countries on this planet, the one with the best chance to influence the action of NK is the PRC. If you think NK is a problem now, wait till it has successfully developed its nuclear weapons program. Presently, NK has nothing of significant value to export to generate hard currency; however, a nuclear weapons program would be a different story and that is why I do not believe NK would give up its pursuit of nuclear weapons. You can have as much negotiations as you want and give NK as much aids as it wants, but in the end, NK will continue to work on its nuclear weapons program.

I do not believe NK would have any second thoughts about exporting its nuclear weapons program to any country willing to pay for it. Imagine a nuclear armed Venezuela, Burma, etc.

Talk and appease NK all you want now, the problem would just get bigger and more difficult to resolve later.

talking2U is on the right track. And let's be clear about this. If it flops and there are losses, everyone involved should also have their share of liability, refunding part or all of their "share" and even getting other jobs to pay back the losses if necessary.

If you want to share in the profits, you should be willing to share in the losses. However, I don't think that is what talking2U has in mind.
