Illegals' portion of the sector is minimal

Really? With 30 million illegals as Trump and his followers claim there are? 10% of people in the USA are illegals. How can that be minimal with one of out ten people in the USA being illegal?

an extra dime for broccoli

That would require charging companies for crimes if they hire illegals. Trump voters want to do that strictly, right? OK, I understand. Just ten cents? Does that include TrumpCare benefits for full time broccoli pickers? But the most important question: How come this failed before? They tried to force watermelon farmers in Alabama to hire 100% Americans and fire the illegal pickers. This became law and it was such a disaster that they had to go back to illegals and the law went back to what it was before that "allowed" that. Business as usual. But you can go to Walmart to enjoy those nice, juicy, and cheap watermelons.

Possibly the dirtiest and most dangerous job in America is coal miner.

Trump is breaking his big promise of bringing back all those coal jobs - like many other promises like the wall, the Muslim ban, Hilary's arrest, investigating the 5 million voter fraud cases. I can't think of anything Trump has done, or even successfully started. He can't even get his Muslim ban kickstarted.

Trump can come up with the idea and how or whether it's functional will depend on what the engineers think

Like how well Trump engineered the 120 day Muslim ban? And don't forget that ladders have always worked well to get over walls (and shovels if you want to go under) so Mexicans and ISIS members will keep coming into the USA even if the wall is somehow built.

a buck (maybe two)

Which is it- one or two? Because restaurants are too expensive in the USA anyway. I go to restaurants in Japan and they are always cheaper. And I know they don't have illegals working there (and everyone has health insurance). I can't believe it.

Please don't joke about this or even wish for it. Having Trump is good comedy anyway. But who on earth wants to have half of US airports and space centers named after Trump (Remember Kennedy?). And you would be the subject of jokes if you had to serve on the SS Trump. Please NO! Don't even joke about it.

illegal immigrants work for next to nothing so businesses and industries love them

Trump lovers: Do you like your cheap watermelons? Guess who picks them? And guess who won't (or even can't) pick them.

The wall is just a pretend solution that appeals to the authoritarian-loving base.

Yes, like the 120 day Muslim ban. It's not even a ban. 120 days is a real laugh. But Trump followers somehow believe 120 days is going to make a real difference somehow.

Attention Trump supporters: How is a 120 day ban going to keep ISIS out of the USA? Anyone can simply wait 120 days then....bye bye Empire State Building. The only effect a 120 day Muslim ban will have is it will delay any ISIS related terrorist acts by just 120 days. Trump is playing his followers like fools.

So to the topic at hand, can we build a wall with solar panels on it or not? Seems business thinks we can.

This will work about as well as Trump's Muslim ban. And even if they build the wall ladders and shovels have worked for thousands of years to get over (or under) walls.

hate propaganda

Hate propaganda is free speech. Who cares? Allowing military grade weapons to be purchased as easily as a pair of socks at Uniqlo is NRA brainwash. If Scalise survives it won't be pretty. He could be missing a limb. He might have to use a colostomy bag for the rest of his life. Those assault rifle bullets tear up the human body like no pistol bullet can and leave a lifelong change. (One person was even able to take out five cops in Dallas with an assault rifle.) And what will he say about assault rifles being easy to buy after having to be confined to such indignity- after many many surgeries that can never fix the permanent damage? He is A+ in the eyes of the NRA (now). Will that grade sustain when he recovers and is politically active?

Attention NRA members of JT board: What is the practical use for assault rifles (other than mass murder)?

Well, it doesn't exactly help with Trump advocated (and trying to implement with failure) his Muslim ban.

If it is not then how come you can't buy modern military grade machine guns?

When self driving cars are the norm then this will no longer be an argument. Next the NRA will say more people die from just being alive than from guns alone. Does that make sense?

The right to free speech is my right and I want to use it.

Yes, this exists in Japan too.

There are other places in the world with similar laws, BTW.

I wonder if anyone made a wrong turn at the airport (this is Japan with no guns)

As the liberals always say, its the CLIMATE that is created by allowing such a thing.

Wow, all this blame on "Liberals" So what? Go ahead and having a party over it it's the Liberals' fault. But really, who cares who does it? A Senator is still shot and he could become an amputee (at least) since assault rifles' bullets tear up the body much more than regular hand guns'. When the NRA proud senator (He has an A+ rating with NRA) hops back to work on one leg let's see if he still supports buying military grade rifles being as easily as a pair of socks at Walmart. YES, go NRA! Getting shot sucks but this senator got a taste of his own medicine. And it doesn't matter who shoots whom, the more this happens the more we come closer to strict gun regulation- which I am happy about. And it's so funny all these NRA types responding to JT boards and they choose to live in the big gun free zone knows as JAPAN. Coming to Japan? Please leave your guns behind! But then go ahead and complain about gun restrictions.

It is culturally insensitive when people call for limiting our rights as guaranteed under the US Constitution.

How about Military grade machine guns? Should ordinary people have a right to own those? (the latest and greatest made today- not vintage ones. It says "shall not be infringed" in the constitution. And should teenagers be allowed to conceal carry handguns like adults? I mean under the age of 18.

More people are killed in vehicle accidents than by firearms in the USA.

Yes, Japan too.

that would rather take my rights away as a law-abiding citizen

You do understand you are in Japan. You have no gun rights here. Why stay in a country if you feel unprotected with no gun?

Ok, so a violent anti-Trump...

Yes, an a violent Republicans shot Giffords, Kennedy, and bombed the Oklahoma government building. It's a gun problem, not a political problem. To be fair, yes, a Liberal shot Lincoln, but crazy is crazy.

That's true in Finland, and to a lesser extent in Switzerland

The Swiss have strict inventories on guns. The NRA doesn't want that so it does not exist in the US. That is why there are so many loose guns everywhere in the US.

Guns (including handguns) have been available in America for well over two centuries,

Semi auto Glocks? Because you can't mass murder with a musket unless you want to do it to a bunch of turtles.

Maybe now the lefts "comedians" and "actors" will stop with the "humor" about decapitated and murdered presidents.

Who does this? I'd like to know because they would be arrested now.

The Democrat/Media climate of hate bears poisoned fruit.

Well, Trump hates Mexicans, Hillary, Obama, and Muslims. Also he hates Germany, Japan, and the list goes on.

It's a gun problem. These guns are too deadly to be legal or at least they should be inventoried strictly.

Here are Trump's successes so far:

The Muslim ban fails again. But even if it passes the Supreme Court it's only 120 days. What kind of ban is that?

Also, where is the success of Trump's wall?

Trump is keeping the Iran deal.

He also went back and pledged support for NATO.

Renegotiate NAFTA? No, another broken promise. He said he was going to get rid of it 100% to punish Mexico.

Also, he hasn't filled the US attorney positions.

Above is confirmed Trump failures so far which Trumps (pun intended) his imaginary successes

You are forgetting the second part of the quote

No, Trump's Muslim ban is all there in black and white. Just like Trump's promised wall that Mexico will pay for.

That have no civil service and no document control.

That's a laugh. It's going to take slightly more than a 120-day Muslim ban to fix that mess. 120 days to set up a sophisticated system that can be trusted to keep the terrorists out? Are you kidding me? If it's like 5 years then I might understand. Trump is playing his followers like fools.

until our country's representatives can figure out what is going on

120 days???!!! Are you kidding me?

cutting off the important part of the statement.

How about Trump's 50 foot wall that he promised? And he did promise a 50 foot wall that Mexico would pay for.

Posted in: White House tries to regroup, but Trump isn't helping See in context

So that meme needs to go.

Let's repeat this:

Trump explicitly called for “a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States.”

(News Source that proves it bans Muslims)

You got to bring this up to Trump himself because those are his words. It's a Muslim ban. But it's a joke of a Muslim ban because of what you said and the fact that it's only 120 days. And why not Saudi Arabia? Doesn't anyone remember what happened on Sep. 11, 2001?

But 120 days is not enough to properly vet someone. It has to be years...even decades because Muslim extremists are in for the long long game. 120 days is laughable. Trump followers believe there is no vetting process at all. They believe it's like one or two days now. They believe everything that Trump says.

but 120 days is enough to properly vet someone

No it's not. It needs to be years and years because look at the Boston marathon bomber and the Orlando nightclub shooter. They were Muslims that were citizens or long-term residents.

the actual order does not ban Muslims

YES IT DOES!!!

Trump explicitly called for “a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States.”

(News Source that proves it bans Muslims)

That is what Trump promised but he broke that promise. And a 120 day Muslim ban is a joke. It will in no way keep out the Muslim extremists. I mean if it was 120 years then I would understand. But a 120 day Muslim ban.....you might as well make is a zero-day Muslim ban.

We will see if the Supreme Court can follow the law or follow their politics.

Even if they follow the law. 120 days for a Muslim ban? Are you kidding me? Anyway, James L. Robart is a Republican judge and he shot down Trump's Muslim ban.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

Posted in: White House tries to regroup, but Trump isn't helping See in context

To you, perhaps, I think it's perfect.

No it's not because then the Muslim extremists will just keep coming after 120 days. It's not a real Muslim ban. It's just Trump trying to make his followers happy. After 120 days it will make the US a dangerous place again. The extremists can wait 120 days very easily. And why do Trump followers think 120 days is perfect anyway for the Muslim ban?

I wasn't talking about Roberts.

James L. Robart is Republican judge who slammed Trump's Muslim ban.

John Roberts upheld ObamaCare. It just shows that Republicans won't follow Trump either.

Not the Supreme Court

Roberts and ObamaCare. And even if they vote yes it's only 120 days. That is not a Muslim ban. That is a joke (on you and other Trump supporters). Now if it were 120 years then it's a ban. But it is not. It is a joke.

120-day Muslim ban....what a joke.

on an Island

James L. Robart is Republican

I'm not talking about Roberts. I'm talking about Gorsuch. I could care less about Roberts.

But Conservative judges are still voting against Trump. Did Gorsuch say he would uphold the Muslim ban (that would only last 120 days anyway....so not really a ban and is really a Trump joke on his followers)? Worst worst case even if the Supreme Court upholds the ban it is only 120 days and it's not going to make any difference since terrorists are generally American or long-term residents. It would have to be 120 years for it to make any difference. Don't you feel fooled by Trump?

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Posted in: White House tries to regroup, but Trump isn't helping See in context

we now have a conservative on the Supreme Court

A conservative judge blocked Trump's Muslim ban (How can this judge be called a Liberal?). Also, Roberts upheld ObamaCare.

Dude, you can call it whatever you wish

Even if it passes what will you call Trump's Muslim ban once it runs its course (in 120 days)? Trump's Muslim ban is just as much as a failure as his wall (which Mexico won't pay for anyway)

The travel ban would be for the ones living outside the US

Again, it needs to be for 120 years instead of 120 days. The Islamic terrorists are laughing at Trump right now. They can wait 120 days, no problem.

I feel confident.

120 days???? That's all for Trump's Muslim ban? It's a joke and the Islamic terrorists think so as well.

That is what Trump promised but he broke that promise.

So you'd suggest a more stringent ban that would truly ban all muslims indefinitely?

What I'd suggest? Why me? This is Trump's stupid thing, not mine. Why are you asking me. Also, Trump followers don't realize this Muslim ban (if it passes with a big if) will last for a very short time. It's so funny that Trump followers think a Muslim ban that lasts no more than six months is going to keep the Muslims out permanently.

What's the point of a Muslim ban if it only lasts like 120 days? Because Islamic terrorists can wait 120 years they are so patient. It shows how uninformed Trump is and how naive his followers are. Trump's Muslim ban? And it doesn't even include Saudi Arabia? What a joke!!!

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Posted in: Trump criticized for tweet on London mayor after bridge attacks See in context

but has been unconstitutionally blocked by liberal judges (so far)

The judge that blocked the Muslim ban was appointed by Bush. And even if the ban is allowed it's only temporary which is not a real ban.

pulled out of the Paris climate agreement

Getting out of the Paris agreement is easy and not political as the president can simply decide to do it (or not...or get back in)...so what?

He's waffling on the wall

No, he 100% failed on the wall. And the non-snowflakes have never heard of ladders and shovels. Also, Mexico won't pay.

on his correct pledge to impose a travel ban.

Again, even if it passes it's for only a short time and not permanent. The Muslim ban is a joke even if it passes.

Also, don't forget that Trump simply giving back the Russian spy compounds with nothing in return proves he's the worst dealmaker in history. Trump is Putin's little poodle. Obama never did that. I can't believe that Trump followers didn't vote for someone decent on the Republican side. Trump is the best you had?
