Sherlock Holmes. Father Christmas is real. I know, I've met him.

'Healthiest cola'. A good example of an oxymoron.

I, Daniel Blake is a fantastic film. Both Ken Loach and Mel Brooks, who was awarded the BAFTA Fellowship, were the stars of the show.

Not another one. Well, his victim, and society, can take comfort in the fact that he will be sacked from his job and locked up in prison, then put on the sex offenders register. No, wait - I mean he'll have his wrist slapped and a bit of wages taken off him and there will still be no nonce register.

Posted in: Trump's planned visit to Britain puts queen in 'difficult position' See in context

May was too hasty in inviting a head of state who had been in office for only a week for a state visit, it usually takes about two years. Now it's come back to bite her on the bum. The Queen is above all this nonsense and will take the idiot Trump and his awful entourage in her stride, although Trump should do the decent thing and decline the invitation. The only good thing I can see from a state visit from him is that the whole visit will be accompanied by an endless cacophony of boos and football chants and a sea of placards and good old fashioned British two fingered salutes.

Mary Poppins was a very flawed film, the biggest flaw was the casting of Dick Van Dyke as a Cockney. Horrendous.

Posted in: UK PM May slams wave of strikes as showing contempt for ordinary people ay Christmas See in context

The Uk government is showing contempt for the ordinary people. The Transport Secretary saying the Southern Railway dispute has nothing to do with the Department of Transport shows this. Anyone who has to use Southern Railways will tell you the company is just one big scam where running a railway is an inconvenience..

Posted in: UK post, rail workers walk out in Christmas strikes See in context

Many UK workers lower down the pay scale are being exploited. ripped off and are having basic rights and pensions they have paid into for their entire working life stolen from them. People are angry, this is just the tip of the iceberg. The Southern Railways strike has nothing to do with pay and has everything to do with reducing the workforce so much that safety is being compromised. I support them all.
