The headquarter of this company is in Montreal. I like Montreal and that's why I welcome the company come to Japan!
It might give me the opportunity to go Montreal, haha!

This incident shows a flaw in the judicial and other systems.
He won in the court, but she could ignore it. He consulted police, but they did nothing.
(And, he lived in dire poverty while she was getting much money and lived in a "tower mansion".)

This morning (Japan timezone), I listened the some of his speech just after listening his daughter's speech.
I listened it through the radio, CJAD 800.
I was interested in his mixed speech in English and in French. Is it usual in Canadian national speech?
The French part was simultaneously translated to English and I couldn't recognize the original French words because it's the radio! (And also, I couldn't hear each of its beginning of the English parts just after the French parts because the translator still speaking. I understand it's unavoidable, it's a kind of impossible to broadcast that kind of mixed-language speeches through a radio!).
Does anyone find a transcription of the speech that includes both English and French just as he spoke ( I mean, no translation.)

Is he talking really slow for the benefit of Japanese listeners to this podcast?
Yes, I think so. Vut, it's very good for non-native speakers like me!
If you feel slow, you can listen at double speed by the feature of YouTube.
Oh? That's why your name is "Speed"? ;-)

I wonder how those young Ukrainian men who have been forced into conscription feel about Zelenskyy's pride and stubbornness to carry on a war they can't win
I too can't help but sympathize with the soldiers.
But they, and all Ukrainians, know they need credible promise of security even after a cease-fire.
So, that doesn't come from Zelenskyy's stubbornness. I think he's not acting out of pride at all, but for the future of his people.
Someone who is tackling something as difficult as what Zelenskyy faces doesn't have the luxury to think about personal pride.

I listened Ohtani's Japanese in the news conference and I understand well his circumstances and feelings, but the English translation was not so good.
For example, Shohei mentioned the reason why he did not open Q and A session, but the new interpreter did not say so.
That kind of lost in translation may be one of the reasons why some Americans still feel suspicious for him.
It's not the new interpreter's fault. I think Dodgers' fault. He, Will Ireton, is not a professional interpreter. Dodgers should have hired a professional interpreter for the press conference.0 ( +0 / -0 )

See the photo!
Wow, that is so crowded! It's like a Japanese rush-hour train.
I don't think I would want to run a marathon after seeing this. (But then again, I wasn't planning on running it anyway...)

Nooo! I like the squat toilet for public toilets. It's clean. I don't like to let my butt touch the sheet which strangers' butt skin touched.
In public toilet rooms, there are multiple toilets usually. It's reasonable that just one of these is a squat toilet.
It's also a kind of issues of diversity. Not only Japan but also some other countries have squat toilets traditionally. The idea that Western toilet is only a good toilet is a western-centered thinking, isn't it?

Perhaps a DNA analysis of the body parts can tell the gender of the dead. Yes, and hopefully we can…
