One can kill brain cells and people with a paper cup full of beer just as well as a golden tankard.

Picture this: Officer, I drank my beer from a golden tankard.

I lost several close family members because of those who had one or two beers so I am not a fan of alcoholic beverages. Drinking and driving do not mix.

Posted in: Republicans accuse Obama of socialism See in context

Accuse? He seems to have the attributes of a socialist. I have a friend who has a saying, " If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck and looks like a duck. It is a duck" . Same principle applys with Pres. Obama. He is what he is. I just wish he were more honest about it. Is there such a thing as an honest politician?

Maybe I should mention my 3 for $1.00 pens are called Flomo.

Posted in: Character stationery See in context

My favorite pens for everyday use were purchased in a $1.00 store @ 3 for $1.00. They write smoothly with no smudging. I have a pen collection and am always lookin to add to it. Some of my more expensive pens are not the greatest to use so a high price pen is not always the best for writing. My fountain pens are my favorite but are not too practical here at work, although I have used them once in a while. My antiques pens are amazing. I like both Pilot and Paper pens however the last Papermates purchased were smudgers.

Badsey posted: "It amazes me Obama's face is not on the $1 bill, the Statue of Liberty, and Mt. Rushmore. After all he is our savior and I pray to my Obama idol every day.

-And what's up with Iran and NK not buying our Obama dollars?"

The stats seem to show that the majority American people think he is doing a "great" job howerver I disagree with the stats. I believe thats omeone is manipulating the stats in Mr. Obama's favor. Or the wrong questions are being asked to a select group of people. He is still basking in the Media Blitz. I get so tired of listening to all the political mumbo jumbo that is played over and over through the media. Once is enough. This is my opinion of which I am entitled to. He is not God and never will be.

There is not easy way to fix any country's economy. The country that fixes first will be the winner and new world champion.

Posted in: Obama calls for new beginning between U.S., Muslims See in context

"Invoking the Quran and his rarely used middle name, Barack Hussein Obama declared Thursday that America has a common cause with Islam and never will be at war with the faith — an overture intently watched by the Muslim world and welcomed in unlikely quarters."

He calls himself a Christian but I am beginning to have doubts. I am not saying a Muslim would make a bad president but Mr. Obama cannot be both. I prefer him to be honest about his beliefs. If he is Muslim so be it.

Posted in: Obama promises more than 600,000 jobs this summer See in context

His inexperience is showing. He does not walk on water and it is not fair place all the blame on the Bush administration. We all had a part in this. I know I should have saved more when the money was rolling in but I didn't and I blame myself not the President. I am just waiting and hoping that I keep my job while waiting for the economy run through this cycle. My hours have been cut but I am thankful that I still have a job.

Posted in: Why I hate driving in Japan See in context

I hate to drive in any big city. I grew up on a farm and learned to drive in the country. I have made my share of mistakes but I do try to obey speedlimits, traffic signs and use common sense. I do not use my cell phone while driving and there are times when I turn off the radio so that I am not distracted while driving. I prefer driving in the country over city and interstate driving. I would rather pass a huge tractor sporting duelies any old day.

Posted in: Kansas abortion doctor killed in church See in context

I did not support abortion not do the murder of Dr. Tiller. It was wrong to kill him. There are more peaceful ways to protest abortion. Protesters should carry signs not guns. Carrying signs has never physically harmed anyone. I am a Christian and I am not rejoicing in his death. It actually grieves me that he died that way just as I grieve for the countless lives lost because of abortion. The doctor has to answer to God not me and he will have to answer sooner than he expected.

One more comment about stats : My community would be the wrong one to ask how well the President is doing because it is predominately republican and STATS ARE BIASED!
