To those defending NHK TV News, do you really think or want to accept that it's OK to show in a 30 minute English News Bulletin: 15 minutes of the Kan Leadership Saga with the use of several stupid cardboard posters - suitable for 5 year old's,. 8 minutes of baseball, 5 minutes of weather with dumb vague comments such as "they received 90mm of rain per hour" Duh! - Shouldn't the total time frame also be mentioned?

Maybe those supporting this type of content should start up a little club called "E.A.R.N" (Enjoy Anal Retentive News)

However, I agree with the comment about the most content of U.S TV News - very repetitive and also "Dumbed Down"

Those who can stream - give us some feedback about this site: http://www.sbs.com.au/news/ Click on News - then on video

i'll finish off by saying "Thank God We Have this Website- Japan today - That shows me most of the real uncensored news, ( I hope!)"

Cheers, Ed

With the title of "“How to Eat the Best Rice in the World,” she probably had Paris Hilton co-author it!

Should we really care ? - Also, like as in Hollywood - They purposely release this type of news to the media just get more fame - playing the sympathy card!

NHK might have the slim chance of winning an award for a current affair story, but they would not have a chance in hell winning anything but the big raspberry award for their censored "Anal Retentive" crappy "dumb down" news programs!

The sad thing is - due to having professors on the board with the other old snoozers, things won't change soon!

And they even have the gaul to ask for license fees - Only In Japan!

Think is a classic case of 'dumb, dumb & dumber' - The boat operator and the relevant government authority thank gave in to the boat operators and did not make the wearing of life jackets compulsory. Also, I don't think I ever seen such 'Dumb' designed life jacket - A small pad loosely fitted on the chest - Had the people where wearing life jackets that the reat of the world uses and wear - More than 90% of those who died would of lived!

I really hope that the families sue the ass off the boat/tour operator and the 'Soft Cock' government department who weakened it's stance of making the wearing of life jackets compulsory.

Very, very Sad for the Families AND Shameful and Disgraceful for "Dumb & Dumber"!
