I think many struggle during the changes, both physically (hormones) and societal during this stage of life. A multitude of factors compound the issue. I think any idea to help ground the susceptible are worthy. My life experience says the vast majority of the issues are temporary and the individual's solution is permanent.

@2020hindsights

What is the end game? Millions of unskilled laborers entering the market place? What does that do to to for the low skilled laborers? I see (illegal? ) day laborers waiting at multiple gas stations near me. Are they helping the US economy or lowering it?

a "sustainable ' strategy ".

If you are talking about Ukraine, they would be clearing Crimea right now if the US had acted fast enough. Some of that is not your fault but the choice of surrender will be your fault.

Was not thinking at all.oc Ukraine, apologies. but never thought about them, was only concerned with those Americans th!t have comparative skillss the 'migratants" and have their wages drastically reduced because of illegal undercutting.

Being unable to do anything on a bipartisan basis on the border shows you aren't serious about controlling it. You will never have the same kind of leverage or 60 votes against the Democrats

What is the issue? Shut down the non-legal crossings. Any crossing not at legal border crossings are immediate repatriation. It ain't hard.

funding of our allies = no. Also the House has done a record low amount of actual work. The only bills passed by Congress have been passed with the responsible democrats.

What does this have to do with border security.?

We have thousands of laws what is missing? Government for the sake of government is hardly an argument.

Anyone who has gone through the legal process should be offended by Biden's blatant disregard for national sovereignty. Unbelievable.

Borders should have a meaning. I have three family members that have gone through legal immigration, with the pain, expense and vetting and are excited to be able to be on a path to US citizenship. I have seen it, it is not illegals shooting the bird with no bail after assaulting cops. US border is a joke, we should at least do what most countries do with a point system (looking at you Canada). This current state is a sick joke.

The article reads as if there was no precedent of Asians eating dog and the stereotype was made up out of whole cloth. Yes, harassment in this restaurant's case but the idea is not an unfounded concept, and a good article would call that out.

This year, the salt-making season lasted barely three months from July to September because of above-average rainfall.

What is the multi-year average? How much was the "above average" above average? I am astonished how poorly AP journalists do their job. Truly astonished.

They all need a course or two from @Skeptical on how to write a news article. They might be fine with writing an emotional anecdote, but not something news worthy.

@Skeptical- your comment is what I would love journalists to emulate, provide the facts in a quantitative manner that makes comparison easy. This must not be taught in journalism school.

I am surprised that the low 18% for the Covid shot in the US, there was such a large group of people that trumpeted their status in the past that I would have expected those same folks to still be excited recipients of the shot now also.

The charging infrastructure is terribly behind and not nearly on pace to match the governmental desire for roughly half of new car sales in the US in 6 years to be EV.

I saw an article a week or so ago that even with the billions of tax payer money being used from the 2 year old infrastructure bill, only 2 fast chargers were about to be completed. 2, nationwide. Oof.

In 6 years time? I doubt it will be close to 50% EV for new sales, don't believe the demand or production capacity will be there by then.
