I have traveled from the US to AUS on Qantas, to the poster above -- no worries, there was no turbulence -- just a lot of seat time. Of course Qantas service is no match for JAL/ANA, but very good in any case. I cannot consider Allegiant a real airline, and I have flown with them many times, btw Allegiant has a dubious safety record.

What I don't get is that DTE loves to buddy up to and praise the PRC and their leadership, but that is where all of the drugs and precursor chemicals for the drugs in th PI are coming from. I just don't understand it.

As a frequent visitor to Japan from North America, I would oppose this tax and it truly would be a disincentive for me to continue to visit, during which I spend thousands of USD. I have experienced the departure tax in the Philippines, in a word......obnoxious!

@toshiko If you think NK does not HATE Japan, you have no idea what is going on inside NK. Aside from the kidnappings, the missiles they fire into the Sea of Japan, and the relentless anti-Japanese propaganda, I'm sure they are really a good friend to Japan!!!
