Its headlines like this which make me so unbelievably angry. If Japan, and the rest of the world doesn't learn from history this time, then the next time a nuclear accident happens, and there will be a next time, we are going to have to go through the whole debacle again. Its ridiculous. Its not sustainable living, and Marcelito is right, it is always the little people who have to suffer the consequences and pick up the bill.

Dont worry, Samantha, when their little bundle of joy gets here, and keeps them awake all night, needing feeding every few hours and all the rest of it the last thing they will be calling mothers is lazy....Shame it will be such a steep learning curve!

Ild rather camp in my tent, and walk the opposite direction to trouble for however long it took, than spend time in a shelter, with the risk of disease from being in close quarters and goodness knows what, and having to leave my beloved pets behind to starvation or worse. In situations like this you dont rely on the Government to do the right thing by anyone, including animals. I couldnt leave them behind, alone, hungry, scared. I just couldnt..and wouldnt.

No, I'ld find any transport I could, and get us all away to a safer area, the non-human members of my family as well.

"there is no meltdown".."it is stable"..."we have cold shutdown"..."stop panic mongering"....all the lies of the past year, and now they are starting to tell a small part of the truth. The media should be ashamed of themselves.

Its not a matter of whether those who left were wrong, or those who stayed were wrong. What was wrong was that the media and powers that be did not give that information to people in Tokyo, so they could make a fully informed decision. It was wrong that those who were concerned were ridiculed and their sanity questioned. It is now very wrong that the media is changing their tune, and instead of calling people panic mongers, they are saying "actually it was a very real possibility and Fukushima is still not stable". Very very wrong indeed. I wont hold my breath for an apology.
