Time to push BLM aside and start ALM.

I'm glad I got married 15 years ago... And to a Japanese woman no less, before all this #metoo stuff started. I can't imagine being in the dating scene is like it is now, and how men are afraid of even making compliments to women without being accused of harassment.

Not sure why they don't just do what the CBC has in place in Canada; it comes out of taxpayers dollars. No more NHK Nazis coming to your door looking for money.

I’m making my way to work in Tokyo now. The trains seem to be okay. My company had the common sense to tell us to stay at home.

Surely this is possible for many or even most workers?

Everyone except JR workers.

Isn't there already something called pachinko in the country? Unless you're a high roller, not a lot of people are going to hit a casino over what's already available.

BitCoin and other digital currencies are the new stock market. Lots of folks out there are building mining farms to make as much money as they can on this.

7 days, 14 days, 21 days, 28 days, 35 days, 42 days, and 49 days, are the start and are the first 7 steps to a recently deceased person becoming a "hotoke-sama"

There is the 1 year, 3 year, 7 year, 13 year, 21 year and final 33 year ceremony as well.

This is a huge long-term money making scheme for the priests involved. I can't believe how much my mother-in-law has to pay out for this every year.

Abe should be more worried about the typhoons coming in on a stadium without a retractable roof.

Posted in: Nintendo says CEO Satoru Iwata has died of cancer at 55 See in context

RIP, but I do somewhat agree with Cloa513. Nintendo really needed new leadership to compete in the new gaming world. The Wii was only profitable for Nintendo themselves and 3rd parties realized after the fact that the system was too underpowered and different to support any kind of game that they created for it. Now with the Wii U, Nintendo has gone down the same path and it's bitten them in the butt with pretty much zero third party support.

While I respect Iwata for what he brought Nintendo, he was really doing the company more harm than good as the President. I really hope whomever is chosen to succeed him puts the brakes on the new NX system (whatever it is) and create a console that is competitive on the hardware level as the PS4 and Xbox One, otherwise Nintendo is doomed to follow the same fate as Sega and become nothing more than a software publisher.

The reason that Canon was forced to come out with this is due to a Chinese company called Yongnuo making an excellent (and far cheaper price) knock off of their mark ii lens.

I feel really bad for both Utada / Abe families for what they're dealing with now. It's sad when someone feels the need to end their life so soon. I guess Junko Abe (Keiko Fuji's real name) was going through a lot at that time. I hope Hikaru and her father give the support that each other really needs right now.

RIP Junko.

lacked “international sensitivity.”

Really? How about you offended ever single person in Japan. You make it out like the country agrees 100% with you, which they don't. These types of politicians aren't welcomed in today's society and should be weeded out for their draconian views of how things work.

It's not just your averag litter guys. People are basically using it as a dumping ground for old tvs furniture and other crap that can't usually go out in the standard garbage collection. Rather than paying for disposal they take it to the mountain and dump it on there. It's a sad reality.
