It could be a high number of cases or it could be a matter of greater awareness / less tolerance for putting up with rubbish by students. Next we may even see more impossible things like decent work/life balance for teachers as well as better instruction and vetting for them.

Farming in Japan is a very big issue, but an over-simplification goes along these lines:

Farming isn't a lucrative career, the farmers only charge what the market will bear and other organisations in the distribution chain make far larger profit margins than the farmers receive. A reduction in tariffs or subsidies will push many existing farmers over the edge and they will choose to sell off their land, most likely to be used for housing developments and never to be productive land again. Then Japan becomes more reliant on food imports and more vulnerable to external issues.

A comprehensive management program is required to look at amalgamating existing farms, encouraging people to choose farming as a career, improving access to labour saving technology and collective selling is required. It is easy to get a loan for a house or car, try getting a loan to start a farm and see what happens. Food prices in Japan can't simply be solved through a reduction of tariffs or subsidies.

Cute and interesting yet expensive and not that useful.

Consider further the plastic packaging and the extra space required to ship these compared to traditional notepaper.

1058yen for forty sheets of paper? Even printed character notepads are better value and easier to write on.

My guess? The product is simply clickbait for Geo Design to get them in the news.

Posted in: Ohtani to have season-ending surgery on kneecap See in context

This is his 2nd year, the 1st year he won Rookie of the Year and this year is hitting .286-18-62 though starting in May. He is electing to get surgery because Angels are waaaaaay out of it and he wants to be ready for next season. What is the problem with that?

Absolutely nothing, that's what!

I'm sure if the Angels had a chance, he would soldier on. But being realistic, he is doing the right thing to look after himself for the 2020 season!

Go Angels! Go Lions!

The truth should be protected, lies should have light shined upon them.

There are consequences for your actions, online anonymity shouldn't be a given.

Thank you for speaking out against this.

but they flirt with the young men.

So what? The ANA staff were never grumpy or rude, like I experienced a few times with Qantas. (Not just to me)

Maybe they were just being polite, not flirting? Seems like an odd accusation to make.

After flying to and from Japan with Qantas for years, one flight with ANA changed all of that.

Rude elderly cabin crew? Missing

Cabin crew who can't speak English? Missing

Food? Quite good and impressive

I wouldn't go back to Qantas, even if the flight was free.

Truly awesome.

Get yourself scanned at 20 (or whenever your prime is) and get replacement parts replicated based on that template. The next step after this will be full printing like in Fifth Element.

If the poll was "is the sky blue" you would still have 5% say no.

Mind you, those could be in Beijing......
