Still, one would think that Pelosi's visit is a calculated move given that the Chinese are in the midst of their own "Lehman" moment. Lots of nervous homeowners in China and not just those with a mortgage. If China follows Japan's real estate bubble, many Chinese owners could see losses of over 50%,
For comparative purposes. the initial bailout for the USA real estate crisis was 700B but the current "known" China problem is north of 300B and we all know that the Chinese numbers are dodgy at best and are in all likelihood many times the figure reported in Chinese media.
I expect that social unrest in China will be a theme for the remainder of the year.

What people aren't clearly explaining is that without the 3rd shot, you have to serve penance in a 12 sq. metre hotel for 4 days.
Well at least that was my experience. Just to confirm...a third shot gets you a walk while just 2 shots has you in a small hotel. Mine was APA.
Those guys are brutal.

Taiwan people are Chinese who after having experienced democracy for decades
just have a collective want of not being a nation under tyranny.

"They were kept in solitary confinement in Japan while awaiting their verdict. That is fairly standard in Japan for suspects not given bail. But they were not given credit for the time spent before they were sentenced."
What could be the possible reasoning on this point?
According to this article, they were extradited from the U.S. in February 2021, after spending nine months in detention so they have been imprisoned for 22 months in total already.

Japan has similar mortality rates to South Korea. Their real numbers are very likely to be similar.
I think 200K of infections at a minimum (not that there is anything wrong with that).
If you think you may be infected, get a big box of tissues and a pack of Tylenol. Can't guarantee anything but you may live to breathe another day.
