I would love to buy Japanese or Korean beauty products, but there's no guarantee of any cruelty free standard. Some websites do try to make lists of said products, but those are almost guessing themselves. And of course anything you can buy in China has been tested as long as it is a foreign made product. I read somewhere that Chinese made cosmetics didn't have to go through the same standard. This also throws out the window several American Brands that desperately wanted into the Chinese market, including Avon and Benefit. Don't try to ask too many people at the Sophora counter, I found only a few salespeople know about this.
