williB,

No we won´t. While the US goes on wild goose chases abroad, radical mosques are sprouting like mushrooms all over the country back home. Thousands new Osamas are being indoctrinated right under your noses, and your government even supports that.

At least the U.S. government is doing something about terrorism.

Do you see any foreigners here demanding that their own government release their classified documents?

They don't need to. Wikileaks is releasing a lot(directly or indirectly related) about other governments' secrets.

Bigmouth. Do you think America is going to be 100% transparent? Compared to other countries, say, China, America is more transparent. Of course, America looks out for its own interest, but please name one country that doesn't, or for that matter, doesn't act hypocritically. You mock democracy because you can. Try living in a communist country and "badmouthing" their system and see what happens.

The reality these documents reveal about the US is that this nation stands alone... and can not be trusted.

Please name a country that CAN be trusted.

Its good to read those documents.so we can see the hypocisy of America.A world leader indeed. Your cup is full.china pls take over.

You can't be serious?! China, the country that is notorious for hiding information from its own public(ever heard of Tiananmen Square Massacre?). Why do you think they created "The Great Firewall of China"? America ain't perfect, but it's more transparent than China. And that's a fact!

Why hasn't anyone defended the victims' right to live?! I support the death penalty. If there is indisputable evidence that a person is found guilty, that person should suffer, preferably the same fate their victims met.

Not only does the U.S. export products, but also inventions: that cell phone you decorate, that microwave oven to warm up that bento, that internet to surf porn, that computer for work, that zipper to keep others from looking, that air conditioner to keep you cool...and those traffic cones you see everywhere, lol.

I'm for this law,and I understand both arguments. IMO If people get stopped by the cops and they're legal to live there, what's the problem, just show the proper documentations. 70% of Arizona residents support the law, so let them deal with the consequences, good or bad. I'm tired of my taxes paying for someone who doesn't belong in my country. Who ends up paying their welfare, us. If immigrants want to come to the U.S., fine, but do it the legal way, like my relatives did.

Err... Did you noticed that we dont have any F-35? Or the fact that the F-35 is still a under tests? Two years behind schedule?

Yes, I know we don't have any JSFs yet. Since when have fighters or military hardware, for that matter, not been on schedule. Look at the F-22, OV-22, XM2001 Crusader, The XM-8 program, etc.

You say "blue navy", like aircrafts carriers. I say transports, because you say "invasion". No one can "invade" with aircarfts alone. "Invasion" means be able to transport soldiers, tanks, amunitions and fuel.

I'm talking about distant future events, not meaning near future. China has the potential of building more transports. It already has the soldiers for amphibious warfare. A blue water navy can include transport ships. Take a look at the U.S. Marine Expeditionary Forces(MEF). They have everything needed for amphibious warfare(air, land, and sea components). Of course aircraft alone cannot lead to a successful assault, however, close air support(CAS) is an integral part of it.

Regarding whether being on the same page or not, (sincerely speaking) what was the point you were trying to make?

J want their own aircraftcarrier from as long as the '80. But the US told J "build destroyers only"

Check out the Hyuga class helicopter carrier. You could also put some F-35 JSFs and voila, an aircraft carrier.

China have a big standing army, but dont have enough troops transports for invade anything bigger and farter than Taiwan.

...Which is why I said they are building a blue water navy.

...What was the point you were trying to make?

UnagiDon

You'd think such people would know that China has barely enough amphibious capability to make the 20 km crossing to Taiwan let alone somehow make it over a thousand+ km of blue water all the way to Japan, i.e. something analogous to D-Day, with almost no air cover and no real offensive capability other than ballistic missiles to reach all that distance.

Think again. China is building a blue water navy including an aircraft carrier due out in 2015. Moreover, China has the largest standing army. Put these two together and what do you get? A red flag in downtown Tokyo, lol.

No they don't... they may have some marines training their useless military for anti terror crap..but no bases..

You're right, but there are a couple hundred U.S. troops training and working with the Filipino forces against terrorist groups like Jemaah Islamiyah and Abu Sayyaf. Couple of my buddies came back from training there, but you wouldn't know how it's like, would you?

I agree with Noripinhead about the U.S. taking the lead. The Haitian government is in shambles, aid is slowly coming in, and the U.N. peacekeepers already there are trying to deal with their own casualties. The U.S. military did an excellent job during the Indonesian tsunami rescue, but I don't see anyone giving them praise. I have Slingbox, so I'm able to watch news like CNN, Fox, and BBC, where reporters are reporting live. The Haitians lack basic necessities. They have no food, water, or medicine. It is that bad.

we left the PI (we were kicked out) and PI is doing fine..

General Alexander B. Yano, 38th Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines(AFP), stated the Philippine military cannot fully defend the country from external threats due to a lack of weapons and a preoccupation with crushing long-running communist and Muslim insurgencies.

....yes,"PI is doing fine."

Not sure many people know China is building an aircraft carrier due out in 2015 and trying to augment its blue water navy, not to mention its progressive increase in defense budget. Unless Japan increases its defense budget which is less than $50 bil(2008) as well as considering the draft system(if they decide to expel the U.S. off Japan soil), the U.S.'s military presence will be here for a while.
