I happen to live a few blocks from a top 100 Sakura viewing spot. Cars parks were packed with cars from all over. I might expect a spike in Covid-19 cases in Miyagi the week starting 19th of April. Oh wait, we don't test..., as you were! Nothing to see here!

As I write this my wife has Japanese TV on, thunderous canned laughter every ten seconds from celebrity quiz shows about drinking beer and wearing funny hats, I might have thought that tonight, particularly from the entertainment industry, that there might have been some tiny measure of adoration, reverence, quiet, observance of respect, honor, esteem, loyalty, genuflection, veneration, homage or dare I say love for their fallen colleague! ...Obviously, I was wrong!
