We have been in Koh Samui the last 5minths waiting for Japan to open and almost all Thais and most tourists wear masks. No biggie. Yes, a bit stifling when it's over 31c but a small price to pay to be in the larger community.
Their country. Their rules. Don't like it don't come. Japan the same... just on a much slower reopening train but that's not too surprising given public sentiment.

If people need to quarantine in a facility at Narita, fine. 7 or 10 days. Happy to pay. Just design a system for us so we can get on with our lives.
