Posted in: 85-year-old woman gets 2-year prison term for accident that killed 2 See in context

Its about time the JPolice got their heads out of the sand and started activly monotoring signals or at least start mounting cameras on the signals. I guess they just dont want to upset anyone by giving them a ticket.

Posted in: 19-year-old girl arrested for abandoning aborted fetus in restaurant fridge See in context

This sounds so wrong in every way. A 19 year old girl given her aborted featus after the op. Never heard of such a thing, sounds totaly insensative.. Poor girl must be mortified. Surely if this was a regular hospital there should be some other procedure in place to deal with the featus. With regards putting it in the fridge, Im pretty sure she had no idea what she should do with it...no counseling...no advice. What sort of hospital did she visit?

Not a moment too soon. Tired of taking my family out to resuarant only to have someone light up after we have started eating.....second hand smoke...no thanks...clothes wreaking of smoke ...no thanks. The sooner the law is implemented the better.

Posted in: 3-year-old boy falls to death from 9th-floor balcony See in context

Japan suffers a huge deficit of something called common sense. Anyone with half an ounce of common sense knows not to leave small children alone for whatever reason. Sadly another high rise apartment tragedy.

China is its own worst enemy. They dont need to worry about Japan or any other country. The world is not stupid everyone can see what China is trying to do.

Would you want to quit if you were about to draw another 3.5 mill ¥ bonus? It's a travesty of the working man who supports these politicians.

Posted in: Missing 7-year-old boy left in mountains by parents as punishment See in context

Sadly all the signs are there for a bad outcome to this story. The news reports that the mountain track is rarely used exept by locals occasionaly taking a shortcut....so what cars was the poor boy throwing stones at? There is some speculation as to what has actualy happened to the poor boy...and I have to say I tend to agree. The whole story is beginning to sound like a fabrication. I pray their is a happy ending, no child deserves to be treated in such a way.

Posted in: Man arrested over hit-and run in Osaka See in context

Im beginning to think that hit and run is part of the national driving test here. Page 12...Involvement in a road traffic accident. 1, flee the scene. 2, wait 12 hours then report to the local police station. 3, simply state one of the following..1, I didn`t realize I hit anyone, 2..I panicked..3, I dont remember anything.

Posted in: Police arrest driver who fled fatal car crash in Ibaraki See in context

So often read the same story..I was afraid and panicked. Does society here not teach any morral respect. Had he been taught respect he might have stayed at the scene called emergency services and attempted to help the victims maybe even saving their lives in the process and instead of looking at death by reckless driving could have just been reckless driving.

There are other safe ways to be impressive in gymnastics without building towers of children. This is the only country I know of that performs this dangerous practice.

Still thinking and promoting the use of nuclear power instead of looking towards promoting renewable energy sources such as solar.....Ok, so it may mean covering a whole mountain in solar panels, but at least they won't contaminate the country when the balloon goes up.

Good luck with that. I see these violations a hundred times a day, including people riding into oncoming traffic and into my path as an avid cyclist. No one seems to take a blind bit of notice. Never seen J police stop anyone for any of these offences.

Posted in: 2 pedestrians killed after minivan hits car; driver arrested See in context

Nearly hit yesterday as I travelled through a green light to turn right...the light had been on for 4/5 seconds before I exited the junction but, having lived her for ten years am wise to the red light runners, as I checked right a woman was barrelling through the red light, eased off the gas as she sailed across the front of me totally oblivious of her crime...near death experience...totally blinkered!

Posted in: 2 killed after being hit by truck on expressway; driver arrested See in context

Such a tragedy, theres no reason why a truck should rear end a car on the hard shoulder. The hard shoulder is supposed to be a safe refuge for emergencies but history shows that it isn't...time and time again we see this sort of news, I advise my family if they have the same situation to get out of the car and off the hard shoulder as quickly as possible come what may rain hail or sunshine. The hard shoulder is not a safe refuge.
