Why is everyone so aggro the last few years? Nobody is happy anywhere it seems.

I'm fine with this. They take crime in general and shoplifting in particular very seriously here, as well they should.

Unlike many US cities, where one can lift hundreds of dollars worth of merchandise in plain view and the cops do nothing about, having been ordered to stand down by soft-on-crime politicians.

Excellent! Once you start to allow shoplifters get away with it, they’ll take it as tacit consent. In Florida they got away with it and the law has recently just changed. Just walking in, picking stuff up and walking out without a care in the world. In the U.K, shoplifters just walking in and out because the police and courts are understaffed. So Kudos to the police. Japanese law requires cremations.

That's what I meant. My cremated remains would be interred at the church/parish cemetery.

Contrary to popular misconception, cremation is allowed in Catholicism in certain situations - one being when national law requires it.

May I suggest we wait till the investigation is finished and the actual cause of the crash is determined, before sensationalist articles like this are run?

@Jay - exactly. Well said. Most Muslim countries aren't exactly accommodating when it comes to other religious and cultural practices.

Until they start being so, countries like Japan should tell them either to deal with life as it already is here, or if they don't like it, leave.

If I, a Catholic, die in Japan, I'll be buried at the church that I attend, by a Catholic priest.

I don't expect the local, prefectural, or national government to provide a burial space for me or anyone else in my situation.

No doubt the most inept president of my lifetime and probably one of the most incompetent ones of the 20th century. Anyone old enough to remember his presidency would almost certainly agree.

This week I learned from leftist pundits that those of who voted for the nominee who received the most votes his party's primaries -- instead of the nominee who received no votes whatsoever in any primary -- were actually voting against democracy.

Voting. Against. Democracy. Uh ... okay.

Makes as much sense as "If you get the vaccine, you can't catch or spread Covid -- but the unvaccinated need to quarantined because they're a threat to your health."

No grasp whatsoever of basic logic ... but remember, these are the EDUCATED people! They're your intellectual superiors. We know this because more of them went to college.

Just let Trump handle it.

He has an undeniably proven track record as a peacemaker.

Good. Innovative, accomplished, and successful people like Musk should be involved in matters such as this.

Maybe some celebrities will head north, and good riddance, but this idea that massive numbers will do so is yet another example of 'progressive' absurdity.

Americans were tired of being gaslit about our grocery and gas bills.

We were tired of being told that grown men can be women and women can be men.

We decided to stand up to bullies today.

Just four or five months ago, even many in the "progressive" media (which is most of the media) were saying that Kamala Harris was a political liability for Joe Biden, who was then the presumptive Democrat nominee.

Some were even calling for her to step down. This was the "progressive" media, mind you.

They were saying she was unimpressive, unaccomplished, a failure as southern-border czar, and so on.

This was just four or five months ago.

Now, they're treating Kamala Harris as the best thing since JFK.

Just let that sink in for a moment, folks, before you commit the utterly colossal mistake of actually voting for this woman.

Trump has been mentioned by name over 200 times without even counting tonight.

Policies? Nothing.

Exactly. That really is all the Democrats seem to have. "Trump is bad, Trump is bad, Trump is bad, wind and repeat."

Everything was better when Trump was president before.

Since he left and Biden/Harris took over, the economy has slumped badly.

Prices have risen unbelievably dramatically.

The southern border, which Harris was put in personal charge of dealing with, is an absolute mess.

Meanwhile, half of the world is on fire. Under Trump, no new wars broke out anywhere.

Biden/Harris inherited a relatively stable situation in Afghanistan. They proceeded to mess it up completely. Now, thanks to the Party That Cares About Women, women in Afghanistan are lower than second-class citizens again.

And meanwhile, media outlets like Japan Today are running hysterical stories about Trump visiting some town with "historic ties to white supremacy" -- while "forgetting" to mention that Joe Biden himself also visited that same town.

The RNC had no incidents of violence against police or damage anywhere. At the DNC, people are leaving in fear of their own safety, and multiple police officers in Chicago have been injured in attacks by left-wing lunatics.

I wish I didn't have to write all of this, but somebody has to do it on here.

The number of jobs created from 1989 through March 2024 — under Republican Presidents George H.W. Bush, George W. Bush and Donald Trump, and Democratic Presidents Bill Clinton, Barack Obama and Joe Biden — was 50.6 million. Of that number, a bit over 1 million, or about 2.6%, were created during the Republican presidencies. 

And who fact-checks the "fact checkers"?

Please. These "fact checkers" have a long and demonstrated history of raging pro-Democrat bias.

They're not different than the mainstream media in general. And just slapping a "fact checker" label on yourself doesn't automatically make you perfect and infallible.

And besides, a very large chunk of those "created jobs" were post-COVID.

But they were mostly a case of jobs RETURNING after they were DESTROYED primarily due to draconian and excessive COVID measures put in place mostly by DEMOCRAT GOVERNORS.

This is unbelievable. This party destroys jobs, and then when those jobs return, they take credit for "creating jobs."

Don't vote for these liars, people.

Clinton is only "tearing into Trump" because he can't defend the Biden/Harris administration's horrible job performance.

Nobody can. Not if they've got two objective brain cells in their heads to rub together, anyway.

Everything is demonstrably and verifiably worse under Biden/Harris then it was under Trump I. This is an undeniable fact.

The economy. Prices. Inflation. Border security. Wars breaking out in eastern Europe and the Middle East. An absolutely and atrociously bungled Afghanistan withdrawal.

Everything. Everything is worse under the current administration than under the previous one.

Kamala Harris is promising to fix all of the very problems that her administration has failed to fix for the past 3 years, and in fact has made undeniably worse.

That's why we absolutely need a Trump II.

I'm not sure which part of Trump I is more objectionable to Clinton -- the world peace, the security at home, or the prosperity.

The Washington Free Beacon’s Joe Simonson reported that scores of people were filing out of the DNC because of how dangerous it was becoming outside:

“Insane security failures. People are turning around and leaving. All because of fear about protests. Clown show.”

People were reported to be “getting trampled” and “jumping over barriers” during the panic.

One floor delegate called the situation “absolute chaos,” and that the DNC is “the worst event I’ve ever been to.”

Outside the United Center, left-wing agitators were destroying fencing and clashing with police.

(Wow. Left-wing violence. Never seen that before. That was sarcasm, by the way.)

Instead of condemning any of this, Joe Biden said that a lot of these protesters have a “point.”

There weren’t rows of boarded-up buildings during the RNC in Milwaukee. Riot police didn’t fight with protesters who tore down security fencing. No one spat on the cops.

Those are scenes that are apparently reserved for the newly self-christened Party of Joy.

To the Left, it seems, "joyful" is when you destroy property and attack the police.

One more thing from that Washington Post op-ed in March of this year:

"Her performance as second in command has been disappointing, to say the least. Americans have taken note ...

"... a recent analysis by FiveThirtyEight set her (Kamala Harris') average overall approval rating at just 37.2 percent, among the lowest recorded for a vice president.

"There’s no reason to think her ranking would spike were she suddenly promoted to the Oval Office. Instead, most signs point to disaster."

Again, this was just five months ago.

And again, this was in the very biased-toward-Democrats Washington Post.

But now, according to the media, she's now suddenly the greatest thing since sliced bread???

Wow.

Earlier this year, even the Democrat-loving media (which is most of the media) was not exactly in political love with Kamala Harris.

For instance, in March this year, even the highly Democrat-leaning Washington Post ran an op-ed piece with the headline:

For the country’s sake, Vice President Harris should step aside

Go ahead and Google that headline if you don't believe me. Washington Post ran the piece on March 15 of this year. Just five months ago.

The highlights:

"She was a colossal failure as border czar" -- again, this is the "progressive" WaPo saying this.

"Harris’s role was to be quiet, lest she embarrass her boss with her sometimes inane, rambling remarks and a laugh that erupts from nowhere about nothing obvious to others."

"The Kamala conundrum comes down to this: She was picked because she was Black and female, a combo tantamount to job security. Now that she has become a burden to the Democratic ticket, Biden can’t fire her."

This was all just FIVE MONTHS AGO.

How did Kamala Harris, in the space of only a few months, go from being (a) a horrible political liability for Democrats, to (b) the "future" of the Party and its grand glorious hope?

God help us if this woman becomes president -- which I'm sure the media, who again just a few months ago didn't seem too high on her, will do all they can to make happen.

If Kamala Harris were being truly honest, her message would be:

"Vote for me, the incumbent vice president, because I've got a plan to fix all the problems that our administration has failed to address -- and has even made demonstrably worse."

Planned Parenthood has killed 25 unborn babies in its Death-Mobile parked outside at the DNC.

It's killed 25 innocent and vulnerable human beings made in God’s image.

With the Democrat Party's full "blessing."

This is flat-out demonic.

It's evil.

Kamala Harris' campaign stump in a nutshell:

"I promise to fix all the problems that my boss Joe and I should have been addressing for the past three and a half years, but have instead made demonstrably worse."

This is Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz's lieutenant governor, Peggy Flanagan.

While wearing a shirt with a knife on it that says "protect trans kids," she said:

"When our children tell us who they are, it is our job as grown-ups to listen and to believe them."

Just look at this radical far-left woman and listen to her. And the Democrats recently have the gall to say that Republicans are "weird."

Walz is a great choice -- a superb one, in fact.

For the Republicans, that is.

In choosing him, the Dems are essentially saying, "We're full-blown far-left 'woke' now and we don't care who knows it."

That will only help Trump, perhaps even immensely.

By picking Walz (and coronating Harris before that), the Democrats are saying the quiet part out loud -- they have gone far over to the extreme left, and they're not even trying to hide it anymore.

And they actually think they can win with this formula.

In truth, they're doing Trump a huge favor.

Under Tim Walz, Minnesota's health department rationed life-saving COVID drugs based on race.

"BIPOC status" (meaning "black, indigenous, and people of color) earned more points than hypertension in the state's allocation system.

It earned the same amount of points as clear-cut medical high-risk factors such as age, BMI, diabetes, and kidney disease.

J.D. Vance yesterday:

“They (Harris and Walz) make an interesting tag team because Tim Walz allowed rioters to burn down Minneapolis in the summer of 2020, and the few that got caught, Kamala Harris helped bail them out of jail.”

Vance is undeniably and 100% spot-on.
