Agreements are not Temporary Jeancolmar. 1965 aggrement was not Temporary. Japan did not sign it as such either. It was permanent and forever it says so In the agreement.

Doesn't matter what Excuses you make for past Korean governments. People will never be 100% happy with any agreement especially historical issues.

South Korea took almost a decade to write down all their demands and compensation in the 1965 aggrement.

Even if we bypass the 1965 aggrement then we end up in 2015 comfort Women agreement which S. Korea still not happy about and backed away in 2017 under Moon.

Lame excuses don't work anymore.

This is a problem with Equality when it comes to punishment.

If it was a Man doing the same crime 20 years easy.

Women get less time in general.

Less punishment.

Less prison time.

Treated better once in jail.

It was you dear China.

Instead of Uniting Asia and making allies your doing the opposite. Countries will counter you and will Unite against you.

Might be able to reverse engineer a weapon system, But You can't reverse engineer not having allies and being bad at foreign policy and the decisions you keep making.

Mr. Kishida, The only way to improve relations with South Korea is to stand up to them. Be strong. Don't back down.

Remember the 1965 aggrement. 2015 aggrement.

Comfort Women Statues.

Preventing more boycotts of Japanese products.

Preventing S. Korea from backing away from past agreements and future agreements.

To get S. Korea to be a better Ally, more reliable, a better neighbor and friend.

Strength is what S. Korea understands Best!

South Korea has no respect for Japan who apologies 56 times. Would you have respect for someone who apologies on demand?? ..... No. It's pathetic and sad.

Would you have respect when S. Korea took Takeshima with 0 resistance. Then we add them to privileged list of countries on trade.

South Korea time and again has slapped Japan in the face!! Then we apologies to South Korea and pay compensation!! Pathetic.

No wonder Koreans are so confused.... Spoiled for decades with apologies and compensation on Demand.

Yeah.... How dare you Japan.

How dare you teach kids Patriotism.

While America, Russia and Europe are full of Patriotism.

Have you seen SKoreans? Full of Patriotism. Teaching kids from early on to love Korea.

Been to America? Full of Patriotism. Ststues everywhere.

Been to Russia? 24/7 Patriotism. Statues everywhere.

Typical bias.... Japan can't do it, But Your Country Can.

Japan can't be patriotic but the rest of the world has no problem with it.

Stupid and dumb = Doing Nothing when your aggressive neighbors China, Russia and N. Korea are increasing military budgets.

Increase Nuclear Weapons.

Increase advance missiles.

Have attacked other countries.

Invaded others.

Or making plans to do so.

Chinas military GDP is 5x that of Japan.

Why oh why Japan. So out of the blue. Must be trying to conquer Asia again.

Do you see that?

Japan needs energy!

Yet some foolish users want to push the agenda for Japan to turn off all the Nuclear Power Plants Forever.

How much would energy cost then? ?

End up like China where you have to turn off the power for half the day. That's what this people are pushing on Japan. Fiction and renewable dreams of fantasy.

Well. If we don't pretend like some of the above users of not knowing about N. Korea and the Kim family threatening Japan with Nuclear destruction, abduction, fire missiles over Japan.

Xi Emperor for Life trying to use force and bullying neighbors, Indian soldiers killed at the border, Taiwan being threatened daily, Japan threatened with Nuclear destruction.

Russia under Putin. Same country and leader who attacked Ukraine less then a decade and took Crimea by force. Still holds 4 Japanese Islands.

Why...... oh Why is Japan doing, Why oh Why is the narrative on JT, while Ignoring The Big Elephants in the Room and Their Aggressive Behavior for Decades Now.

Wow.

Some people don't understand the definition of patriotism.

"Devoted love.support and defense of one's country, national loyalty."

No patriotism=Easy to walk all over Japan. Our land, Water, Islands taken away, bullied like Taiwan in the future if they fall.

If a Japanese soldier committed a similar crime, I would expect Australia to decide on the consequences!

Japan has always wanted better relations with South Korea.

That's the reason Japan bent over so many times on the Korea Issue. So many apologies, with so many compensations.

South Korea has Won dozens of times, Only ones in Asia to be on White list of Privilege Countries. It was S.Korea. 56 apologies. Compensation in the Billions.

We even let S.Korea manage our Island in the hopes of better relations. Nothing works.

South Korea=Can Hate Japan 100% but expects Japan to help them directly or support USA to help against another North Korean attack backed by CCP China.

South Korea is not part of Quad Alliace to balance China. Keep them in check.

South Korea never declared their support for Taiwan the same way Japan has. Japan is expected to defend another democratic country while S. Korea watches. Focus on their GDP.

More should be expected from South Korea. Instead of giving them a pass on everything while also hating Japan on top of it.

Above comments have some valid points.

I still believe whatever victory China can gain is only temporary, short term, not worth the risk.

Japan itself fell in this trap before. China might win for the first few months, but it won't last and the odds are severely against China if the World Unites against them like it happened with Japan by the end of 45.

I want our citizens to be rescued.

I wish this happened 33 years ago instead of waiting all this time. Government's of the past already failed.

Can this happen again where Japanese citizens become hostage, taken, kept? Yes.

This can happen again.... already did in the middle East where we lost citizens to terrorist groups.

USA defends Japan on big scale.... but who defends Japanese citizens in such situations???

We literally have no ability to rescue Japanese hostages overseas. That weakness called Article 9 will have serious consequences as time passes. Our citizens will be the ones who will pay the price.

I'm proud to see Japan make progress on such terrible disease.

ALS is among the worst thing that can affect a human. Men are 3x more likely to get it.

95% of people die in 2 to 3 years. No cure, no treatment worth the time.

Majority of cases is not from family history, it's random from the environment, professional athletes get it more, brain injury repeat can get it more, working in certain fields can get it more, serving your country in the military you have a higher chance.

Please keep up the work, invest the necessary resources so we can change the world for the better.
