Hmmm...I've never heard of this show, but now that I have, maybe I'll check it out (not really, I rarely watch TV these days :)). But ultimately, Mr. Johnson needs to remember that, if he indeed values Free Speech, he needs to remember also that others he may not like have that same 1st Amendment right. Depends on the state and sometimes, even the city. Here in Columbus OH it's illegal for people to go through trash because of the worry of "dumpster diving", i.e. computer hackers looking for information they can exploit. Though to be honest, there are homeless who periodically go through trash to find recyclables they can take to the local recycle lot and make some money. That's why we take our aluminum cans and put them in a separate bag and sit them by the trash, so they can get them without going through our trash.

I don't live in Japan, but do grocery stores use coupons there? Here in Columbus OH I use grocer and product coupons to help pare down expenses. We also look at stores that have comparable products at cheaper prices to save money. Granted, even the Dollar Tree stores have hiked their prices to $1.25. People around here joke they are now Dollar and a Quarter Tree stores.

Some locals are also starting gardens, and we cut down on waste by canning vegetables and potatoes we won't get to right away. Heck, we even pick apples to make our own pectin, and grapes to make homemade jelly!

I've mostly collected old anime released in the US back in the 1990s; none of the ones I currently have are sealed, so they for the most part aren't worth much, other than the very earliest releases (Gunbuster and Dangaio, both from US Renditions, a subsidiary of Books Nippan, for the most part).

The annoying thing is that these high prices are driven by places like Heritage Auctions and, like the video games are likely investors who bid on these things with the intent on driving the prices up, then auctioning them again to drive prices up even more. Like crypto and NFTs, just a big scam.

Eh, to be honest I just turned 60 a couple weeks ago, and I rarely watch network TV anymore...just not anything I'm into these days, and if I want to watch something I can either stream it or watch one of my 600+ DVDs/Blu-rays :)

Good idea to have inexpensive ways to spay/neuter cats. Most of the cats that come to our back yard are strays that come because they were abandoned by their former owners or born on the street. One cat ultimately had three litters in or next to our back yard, until we were able to catch her and have her fixed. As soon as they were old enough, we fixed the kittens that stayed as well.

Fortunately for us, there's an organization here in Columbus OH that does the job for around $40 per cat and will also give them their vaccinations as well. Too many people may also just have the female fixed but ignore the male because "they won't come home pregnant". Just because it won't be your problem, don't mean it won't become the neighborhood's problem.

Looks like a veritable Feast o' Doom. Don't get me wrong; back in my teenage years (mid-late 70s) I could have polished this off. But next month I turn 60, and well....I wanna turn 61 :)

So this is a problem the airlines have known about for awhile, yet didn't do much about until recently. Hmmm, reminds me of Y2K, where the problem was well-known with tech companies, yet nothing was done until a few years before zero hour.

Back in the day it was worse. My mother, back in the 50s and 60s (she was born in 1933), used to contribute to an organization that specifically sent money to help Japanese children in need. I still have a thank you card one of these children sent to her.
