what happened to the famed health care plan that he told he has while he was campaigning. you know, the plan that was so good, everyone would be covered, it would be cheaper, more choice... why didn't he use that? surely that plan would have got not only REP but also DEM votes, right? :D

For years we have been trying to figure out a polite way to tell Turkey to p.ss off. Finally it has paid off and they are voluntarily distancing from the EU. I doubt there are people (except maybe Turkish immigrants) who are worried that Turkey might now join the EU. Everyone's like "please don't join"

serendipitous Trump is too thick to realize that making vehicles that pollute more just means the government will need more money to spend on pollution-related illnesses and deaths.
No it doesn't, the way Trump is cutting the health care, you will have to pay for it yourself.

SuperLib If healthcare were cheap then we'd have a bipartisan plan in about 10 minutes.
I'm not saying that health care is cheap... but health care is a lot cheaper in almost every other developed country. Isn't the fact that US has built a system where the med sector can charge you insane amount of money part of the problem?

Tokyo-Engr On the other hand some of the protesters do not want to fund abortions (via their taxes).
And I don't want them anti-abortion people to get any (none, not even for infrastructure) part of my taxes, but that is not how taxation works.
Banning and de-funding abortion will make things worse because those who will need abortion would then need to go "underground" and possibly risk their lives because they have little guarantees that they will have a proper care.

If I'm not mistaken, South Asians account for the largest group of immigrants in the U.K. How does quitting EU help addressing this issue if they aren't from EU countries?
It never was about them, it was the Poles, Germans, Estonians, etc the white Christian immigrants that the Brits hated.

Look, the election was held and the results have been published. Trump won. If a democracy is to function, then people HAVE TO respect the results.
NOW, this is the mantra, everyone should just shut up and accept, but when Obama won so many INCLUDING president elect continued to question his legitimacy until the very last year of presidency.
So why was it OK for them, but now that the shoe is in the other foot, this is, oh, so bad, so bad.

Kreml told before that if Whitehouse sanctions for hacking, they WILL retaliate. Whitehouse sanctioned. Kreml... By not retaliating as promised, Kreml admits that they did hack!!!
My guess is that Kreml saw that the info that got out about their actions was less damning than what was the reality, thus they decided to keep low profile to avoid giving any reason to re-investigate the hacking and cause more damage to Kreml.

So, how do you know if it is the same or not the same if you don't listen?
