It will be interesting to see if the new Australian boats are better constructed than the COLLINS Class. Sometimes better is the enemy of good enough and I think the SORYUs would have been good enough especially as it is already in existence while the Franco-Australian effort is a theoretical proposal that may not stand the test of reality. Maybe there will be a redo if things unravel down under so the SORYUs may still be able to win out.

Is this the most important issue facing the citizens of the US?

What if the Republicans loose control of the Senate along with the Presidential election? It might be prudent to go with the moderate Judge Garland who might become the pivot vote but I dont think the Republican Senate as it stands now has many prudent members west of the Appalachians and south of the Mason-Dixon Line even presuming there are any east and north of these two points.

The 2020 Olympics preparation is looking more and more like a "dramedy" with each new fiasco revelation. Are we going to actually see it?

In the end, it will be interesting to see and hear what President Obama says and does at his visit to Hiroshima.
