Special kudos to the nominating committee for not being influenced by the cold relation between Japan and South Korea.
What ever the japanese want to say abt the Koreans, this is a good sign that Koreans are fair people where talents are concerned.
Did both of you actually watch shoplifters? I want to think the decision of awarding Kore-eda was taken based strictly on "art". But under current problems between both countries, more than one Korean with anti Japanese feelings will be extremely happy with the decision!
