Posted in: Tougher virus restrictions expanded to 4 prefectures See in context

With the quasi-emergency status, prefectural governors can ask restaurants and bars in targeted cities to shorten operating hours and impose a fine of up to 200,000 yen for noncompliance.

So, basically a state of emergency without calling it a state of emergency..due to the upcoming Olympics. Time to #canceltheolympics

I have noticed that everytime there is talk of the Olympics being cancelled by any senior members, the number of tests/positive cases go up.

CNN is reporting this now:

With 100 days until the Tokyo Olympics, Japan has vaccinated less than 1% of its population. That's a problem.

When 2020 Tokyo Olympics volunteers have in recent weeks asked officials how they'll be protected from Covid-19, given the foreign athletes pouring into Japan for the event and the country's low vaccination rate, the answer has been simple.

They'll be given a small bottle of hand sanitizer and two masks each.

"They don't talk about vaccines, they don't even talk about us being tested,"

Tokyo Gov Yuriko Koike on Wednesday pledged to suppress the spread of the coronavirus in the Japanese capital to ensure a safe Olympics as it quietly marked 100 days to go until the global sporting event.

The only thing she will suppress is the TRUTH. How will this be accomplished? Lower the number of tests, and false reporting. The sad part is outside of Japan, people don't know the T R U T H.

@Falco

There will be no way to "reposess" the MILLIONS of guns that are circulating in America. Most of the time, the guns used in School schootings come from the students home. When a gun in used in a School shooting, the parents should be liable as if the gun was properly locked there would be no way to use it. My father was a GunSmith, and I grew up with guns all around me, some even loaded. My father taught me at a young age to respect firearms. Making guns illegal or writing laws will do nothing. Look at drugs in Mexico for example. Drugs are Illegal, but guess what the highest paying job in Mexico is? You guessed it! Being a drug dealer!

@Dan There is no demand for the vaccine here.

I don't know anyone who will take it.

Same here! I have talked to hundreds of people, and not one is taking it, including myself, and my family.

Of course they got infected...You can't expect a vaccine to be 100% effective if it was made quickly. The company's that made the vaccine were not concermed about the effectiveness, but were more concerned about making something they could use as a quick cash grab!

In fiscal 2019, 273 teachers at public schools across the country received disciplinary action or a reprimand for sexual misconduct, the second-highest figure on record, according to the ministry.

Isn't these acts a crime? There should be no reprimand ir disciplinary action. The only thing that should be done is the Police should be notified and the pervert arrested and sent to Jail. It is hard to un-normalize something that WAS the norm.

Of course they will release the water...one would be crazy to think that thr J-Gov't actually cares about people. I challenge them this. Experts on a government panel

I love how they always say this! I am sure not ONE infectious disease expert was on this panel. Remember when the EXPERT blew the whistle on the cruise ship in Yokohama, and was escorted away? That is why the J-Govt only uses THEIR "Experts". If they used a real expert the truth would come out! We can't have the truth! The TRUTH must be surpressed!
