But he shouldn't have been stopped in the first place. They knew who he was, he was no threat, why all the drama?

I'm still trying to figure out what crime he committed. he was barred from competing, he didn't compete, hell he didn't even do anything during the contest. if he was so hell bent on making a scene wouldn't he done it while the contest was going on?

He went to see his friends, sure he shouldn't have gotten onstage, but the contest was over, and it's not as if they didn't know who he was.

As for living in the US, maybe he's learning to speak, but still needs the translator to clear some things.

Sounds to me like he just wanted to compete and they wanted to force him to follow their demands.

Some people think they did it on purpose so Chestnut would have a better chance of winning. I wouldn't put it past them, they want Chestnut to be the face of competitive eating, but no one knows who he is outside the sport.

Raymasaki: Got arrested for just Jumping onstage? Give me a Break. hopefully the JP News will mention many people thought it was unfair. why didnt he perform this Year? enter the Hotdog eating contest?

That's what I don't get either. he just got onstage. He didn't attack anyone, he didn't say anything, he just got on the stage. I could understand if this was just anyone off the street but it's Kobayashi, it's not as if they didn't know he was.

As for why he didn't compete, MLE wanted him to sigh a contract that would prevent him from entering any contest that wasn't sanctioned by them. Since that would cut into his livelihood plus most of their contests are in the US and he probably does these things all ove the world, that would hurt him in the long run.

Since no one would even know who they were without him, and he fact that I doubt that anyone would even be talking about this contest if he hadn't showed up, I say give him what he wants.

This whole thing just screams publicity stunt. The fact is, MLE needs Kobayashi. Nobody cares about Chestnut and if they don't know it now, it was evident yesterday when the crowd took his side over theirs.

The fact is, the ratings are down when he's not there, and no one associates MLE with Chestnut, it's always Kobayashi.

Honestly? I think they called him and begged him to show up just so people would watch, hell many of the competitors said it was boring. And if not, I bet he get the contract he wants.

Posted in: Kobayashi to skip July 4 hot dog eating contest this year See in context

That sucks!

Well, I won't be watching this year.

Truth be told, he has nothing to prove, he's the best at it. Chestnut is nowhere near his level IMO. He has to win three in a row to tie and four in a row to beat him, and honestly, I don't see him doing it.

While it's nice to see men for a change I wish the guys were better looking.

7 isn't too bad though.

Posted in: Hatoyama's style See in context

I could understand all this drama if he was out in public, but he's in his own home therefore he has the right to wear what he wants. Sure he could have went a bit more tasteful but hey, that's what he wanted to wear.

And that fashion critic know nothing, retro is always in!

I don't either but don't women go to this store? If you're gonna use hot women to get men interested in you product, why can't you use hot men to get women interested?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Posted in: Mini Stop anniversary See in context

Um excuse Me? You don't see what women see in men? That is the strangest thing I've ever read. You're a guy so you're saying you can't see what a woman sees in you? I can understand why you wouldn't want to see a guy but you seem to think women should only be interested in women!

Personally I couldn't see myself with a woman, no way, no how! I can say woman is good looking, but physical attraction? Not gonna happen.

I don't have a problem with the pic itself, I don't think it's over the top or insulting. I just wanna see see some hot guys as the pic of the day. Japan has some nice looking men, let's see them every once in a while.

Posted in: X Japan to make U.S. debut at Lollapalooza in August See in context

define "outside of Japan" for me. You guys might think there's no other countries out there but your home state and Japan, but there are over 200 countries out there, and X japan has played in at least 10 of them (that I know of)... Has massive following in many Asian countries and been touring around Asia quite extensively as well as their German tour (which I have no idea how they went, but it was before Hide topped himself)

I do apologize, I was just commenting on the fact that he said that they didn't have a fan base outside of Japan, and I was just citing a recent event. I know X has toured all over the world and has an international fan base, I picked the L.A. video shoot because it was also in the US.

They are still around? Who's the new guitarist after Hide?

The new guitarist is Sugizo, He's the guitarist in Luna Sea.

No offense to X fans but they aren't that great.

And hoserfella, this won't be the first time they've perform outside of Japan, they did a video shoot in L.A. that attracted lots of fans.

Posted in: Gackt to hold concert just for men See in context

You may be right but I think young men would listen to Gackt before the politicians.

Personally I think the whole thing is pretty funny. Sure it may be a wild approach but it just might work. And while Gackt may not look very masculine, he's pretty tough, and at least he recognizes there's a problem.

Michael Jackson.

All joking aside, I hope they catch this guy, although it doesn't look like he doesn't know what he's doing.

And why no Japanese models? They couldn't find at least one?

Its pretty ridiculously late for hoping, don't you think? Whatever they did, it seems it was the right choice. Nevermind your personal feelings, tastes, or preconceived notions of right or wrong. Quiet your mind and look at the evidence staring you right in the face. They are happy. Your feelings don't figure in.

First of all I did say I was happy for them. But it's not normal for a growm man to have romantic feeling for an underage girl. You're talking about my preconceived notions of right or wrong, sorry but in most places, including Japan, it's illegal to have that sort of relationship with an underage girl.

And this isn't about feelings, it's my opinion which I have every right to express. Am I happy for them? yes, but at the same time when I read about how they got together, I'm like 'what the hell?'

And yes I do hope they waited to have a sexual relationship after they were married, or until her parents gave consent. You know why? Because if they didn't, it would have been against the law! Maybe it is a bit late but there no law against hoping.

Posted in: Takahashi's bond with wife 24 years younger is stronger than ever See in context

Okay I'm really happy for them, anytime you see two people who love each other is a good thing but the ICK factor is very evident.

Think about it for a second, this man met this girl at 13, and married her at 16. That means that within those 3 years, he had to fall in love with her and realise she was the person he wanted to be with. This is a 13, 14, 15 year old girl he's having these feeling for! And let's not even get into the sexual aspect of all this, lets just hope they didn't do anything until she was the legal are or, seeing that the parents had to give consent, when they married.

Um people she said LOOKED! She didn't say she wanted a herbivore, she wants a guy who looked like a herbivore In other words she wants a strong good looking man! A herbivore, while hot, is not very strong or self confidant it seems(I don't know much about this type of guy, I'm just basing this on what people are saying on here.)

Personally I can't blame her, I want a strong, confidant, good looking man too! And please don't say they're not in Japan, just because you don't hear about them doesn't mean they're not there.

So a man likes dressing up in skirts, who cares! It's his life, who is he hurting! Some of the people on here are acting like it's the end of the world!

I could understand not being a fan of it, but there's no need to overreact.
