commodoreflag.

numbers can be seen any way you want.

for the US death rate is it dying of COVID or dying “with” COVID? They are different.

everyone:

why is there so much debate over these two years. Each day these figures come out. Is there anything new to add rather than I) forcing opinions on others ii) feeling the need to put down others iii) just bored with nothing else to do.

Whatever you do stay safe for yourself and those around you.

a lot of comments about it being as busy as other working days at hub stations.

That may be true but in this case the people from Tokyo (and probably hard hit places such as Osaka and Nagoya) are going to rural spots.

That is the biggest concern. If people could get tested easily they could make a more informed decision to travel or not. I hope people who would see a positive would cancel. That not being the case, it’s a high risk of spreading to prefectures and small towns that definitely not have capacity to cope with an outbreak.

Hmm. Have you ever driven a truck?

Yes, the elevated view can help a lot but there a a lot of blind spots too.

we don’t know what happened but most truck drivers I have come across are usually the most considerate of other drivers and pedestrians. More so than car drivers.

They are more careful because one mistake can cost their job, as well as a high chance of death.

We take not of trucks because it usually leads to fatality. For cars, that’s not always the case and less reported.

(That is until the hit the expressway and then all bets are off!)

Posted in: Japan starts issuing cash benefits to virus-hit small firms See in context

Just to put some of your minds at ease. I have a small business and my income dropped over 50% in the month.

I have applied and expect to get the support soon. It will be classed as income so I will need to pay taxes on it but as it covers lost income, that’s fine.

also, it can be applied to a 50% drop in income in any month of this year.

apply online, if you are eligible.
