couversaka That just shows blatant ignorance. Why one earth would a multibillion dollar business care for bar owners? It is specific targets. And no, it's not a part of "their" culture. It is a business that is fueled by the illegal consumption in US

There is need to help reduce the demand of drugs from the US, sure you can try create jobs but that won't stop druglords as it's a very profitable industry

Now that's a dumb comparison. Yeah a transgender is obviously very different from a gay but comparing to "“an American saying, ‘To me, all Orientals look alike.’ Surely that’s offensive to many Japanese, Chinese and Koreans.” is nuts.

It's not a fault not be be able to tell. Shall we demand everybody to be able to separate a guy from Guatemala from a Mexican or an American from an English..that just sounds like American bashing and I for sure am not American.

Do you really think that thing goes faster than a go car? Still there shouldn't be exceptions to the law. The dude is clearly old and most likely lonely, better doing that that becoming some stalker or even worse... prime minister!!

I guess it depends where you live. You can't expect them to send models of a phone that will run out to very small stores. I saw it everywhere during the weekend.

I think I have the phone you're talking bout - you need to go into Regional preferences, and set the code page to Japanese before it will work. It is not enough to have the code page enabled - it must be the default code page.

Yeah that makes it work. All programs that support multiple languages will also become Japanese though but you can always change the settings back and restart and voila. I used to have that Lismo thing

shot.. wrong quote hahaha.

It's nightmare for all parents! Please ask your children to be very cautious outdoors, the society today is as dangerous as forest! we never heard wild life or dog ever feel free when some strangers passed by or even closed, so we also need to behave like that.

So what do we tell them to do while walking on the streets? Or even worse.. on a packed train!! O.o

But there is a suggestion for emerging economies, they should form there own group say call it 'g-4' to begin with and may go on expanding (should use small letter 'g' without offending 'G' members)

So what do we tell them to do while walking on the streets? Or even worse.. on a packed train!! O.o

So now North Korea is demoted from membership in the "Axis of Evil" to what? The "Axis of pretty bad?"

Yeah that is until they finish their "Stimulus package" and need more, then they will start doing same thing again and become part of the "Axis of Evil" until more oil and other things are given to them. It's a virtuous cycle ;)

Yeah it's getting strange, in most countries you have to be watching out the hole time anyway but for being mugged or things like that not for being randomly stabbed.

What will you tell to the kids? If you see somebody walking in your direction, run away?

Doing less but doing it well. Exactly what the IPod did....

Could't quote everything but man you otta change your phone none of those applies to mine. You can use Win XP in english you only have to change your settings while using the app. My media player is not really slow and the battery last like for a day and and a bit more if playing music the hole day which I find OK for a mobile.

I like the Iphone cause is fancy, but it's just can't be use for an office day.

Yeah it's not yet and won't be a staple, Mexicans do eat a lot of junk food though and those things became popular. Many times they are eaten as a snack only.

Malnutrition in there is a matter of people being more educated to become health oriented and buy nutritious things rather than crappy ones. I say put the instant noodles in the same section as junk foods.

That article only says that they are eating a lot of maruchians, it doesn't say anywhere that is becoming the staple food at all!

Maruchians are .40 usd a serving, tortillas used to be .40 cents a kg on 2006 and now they are .60usd 1 KG.

So your statement is still soooo not true

A crying baby will test the temperment of ANY good soul, whether male or female. And especially if the person is not equipt to deal with such a situation. And clearly this lad was not.

Please remind me to keep you away from kids :D

Posted in: Stress relief See in context

It would be a strong punch, not the stongest but not a wee girl's one. You never saw Mike Tyson doing that cause he knows what he is doing. If in a real fight (let alone a boxer's one) somebody tries punching like that he will just fall or be intercepted with a nice punch, as you said, he is complete out of balance. However the dynamics of his weigh moving can't be disregarded.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Posted in: Stress relief See in context

Nah his punch must have been strong enough, he is using all his weight on it. I have seen people playing there almost running and then trowing themselves in a punch and feeling proud after. Pffff, in a fight the opponent just has to move one small step and they would go straight to the floor.

White rabbit. Why is it necessary for a Family-friendly place to be open all night?

This is the same reason why English is the most common international language, because the British empire stretched worldwide...and they spread their language.

I am pretty sure it has to do more with the economic dominance of the USA for quite long than with the old British empire.

The part that is soooo NOT true is

sk4ek at 10:09 AM JST - 4th July Instant noodles are so pervasive that they've nearly become a staple food for poor people in Mexico, replacing the more nutritious, or at least less nutritionally harmful, corn tortilla

Instant noodles are indeed crappy.
