Adults need to take independent action without the need for some public employee to order private citizens how to live.
There isn't a politician alive that knows how to protect my health and well being better than me.
The economic consequences of this lockdown experiment are going to be far graver than anything the virus is capable of doing.

Posted in: If you brag about liberal democracy to Chinese people, you may hear: 'Are you still proud of your system, which has elected Mr Trump?' That was exactly the feeling I gained from dialogues with intellectuals in Seoul and Shanghai in August and September. It is not only the U.S. presidential election and the British national referendum about European Union membership. Policies on many other critical issues in liberal countries have shaken the premise that the Western system is far better than authoritarian ones at solving problems. See in context
This quote of day is a disgrace to the millions upon millions who have sacrificed their lives to defeat totalitarinism and also to the tens of millions more who have suffered under totalitarian rule.

NK is a rouge state that brutalizes its people and threatens its peaceful neighbors with war and chaos. How long shall we appease its psychopathic leader?
Trump may be using brash rhetoric but I am sure that he now has his undivided attention and its time for Kim to seriously consider his nuclear ambitions and whether it is in his best interest to continue on a path that will ultimately lead to his kingdoms complete destruction.
Continuing to allow NK to grow its nuclear missle program will eventually lead to a much more serious threat to world stability and peace. It seems that most people who have posted here are simply afraid to confront a challenge that needs to be dealt with now.
Like it or not, Kim is on notice and if he chooses to continue "testing" his missles over Japan you can fully expect a military response. IT will be brutal and people will die but that suffering would hail in comparison to what will eventually happen when NK vaporizes Seoul, Tokyo, or Los Angeles in the future.

Posted in: Abe says time for talk is over with North Korea See in context
Dialog is over when you test fire missles over the territory of a soverign nation.
NK has an extortion rachet which gives this failed state billions in exchange for not blowing up the world. Its time to face this threat to peace now before one of these "tests" fail and end up landing on SK or Japanese city.

Posted in: Trump's North Korea threats leave Asia puzzled See in context
Nobody is puzzled. The message couldn't be more clear. IF NK continues to launch missles over Japan or any other allied nation, the US will take definitive and catastrophic action that will essentially exterminate Kim Jun Un's regime.
NK has been put on notice infront of the entire UN. Now, its up to them to take the threat seriously or continue to do what have been doing for the past 25 years, essentially extort money from nations by threatening war.
