I'm ok with them keeping the borders closed until next month.

Yeah, what do you care since you are not Japanese and an owner of a business that relies on the tourism business.

Seriously, how long are they going to make people get vaccinated, boosted, tested, masked? If you haven't been vaccinated by now, you probably have had Covid and thus the antibodies. AND, unless you are over 70 years old, you have a snowball's chance of ending up in the hospital, but even in that rare case, who cares?

Finally, some common sense.

China isn't the most hated in Asia - the USA , Japan and the colonial alliance are !

As an American I wholeheartedly agree. America post-Sept. 11 butchered innocent Iraqis and Afghanis as we did to the Vietnamese. For what? For whom and why? However, this alliance between Japan and Vietnam against China is orchestrated by the West and certain radical factions who currently control Western governments. WWIII seems to be in the air with all these alliances forming, especially with the decay of America into a cesspool of wokeness and disinformation to justify support of the Ukraine over Russia. The world is spiraling into hell, at least as I see it.

Prince, princess. Two irrelevant words today, Un the big picture. Tradition and science, though, should be duly understood. Transgenderism? These are mentally deranged or mentally unstable people without any doubt whatsoever. A Darwinian dead end for their genes and the only way it will spread is by evil woke liberals who are without any doubt mentally unstable, too.

And what is so dreadful is now virusrex is joining this discussion on a princess, and whether this person (virusrex) is a man or a woman is a mute point, but said person is surely a Japanese man and a troll extraordinaire of no substance..

If the whole country is getting vaccinated by government "mandate", and this said vaccine is effective, why are they afraid of fireworks? This b o g g l e s my mind. 1984? Orwellian logic? Unbelievable. I cannot grasp the arguments and logic of these people anymore. It is truly absurd.

People, fireworks are just plain fun! Again, if the majority of people are vaccinated why is there fear? Why?

Anyone who has been around Asakusa / Kuramae area for this fireworks festival will surely understand the reasons for the cancellation!

Anyone who has travelled on a train in Tokyo during rush hour will surely understand the reasons for their cancellation! Oh, my bad. They haven't been cancelled!

Yet if there was an super spreader incubator for Covid this would be number one. So Joanne what is your point? Covid is here. We live with it but sane people don't fear it and cancel a major Japanese summer event.

One more point. Many Japanese are vaccinated, so again, make some sense of your point. I really don't see it.

To shut down an outdoor summer event 3 years running such as the Sumida Fireworks when people will be socially distanced is the height of paranoid absurdity. What in God's name are people so afraid of? People having fun and giving some semblance of return to normal life? This is the perfect example of power wielding peons not knowing science in positions of making policy. What does anyone have to fear from a fireworks display? Really, my God, people have become insane because of covid and fear their shadows even when they can't even see them.

Stop an outdoor summer tradition and activity venerated by generations of a city for what? The sky should be falling with illumination and glorious sparks of light and sonic booms, not because the sky is seen falling by paranoid whining, gutless politicians.

Now, if I were a male to female transgender what would I do? I would be cognizant of the fact that were I to go into a women's restroom I would more likely cause distress than were I to go into a men's bathroom. Therefore, I would have used the men's room.

Open and shut case. The "transgender" admits to being a male, being born of an XY chromosome pair. He should not have been in a women's bathroom. He should of just walked into the men's room and done his business. I would have been taken aback but I would immediately have known what the deal was. No harm done and i would have had no fear, but a women would think otherwise.

The transgender woman in her 40s, who police later confirmed entered the ladies' room in May last year, has told investigators she knew she was not supposed to use the facility because her gender is listed as male on the family registry.

This very sentence from the article highlights what I am talking about. The fearmongering is so clear. Read carefully. Why are worries growing?

Although COVID-19 cases and deaths have fallen lately in Japan, worries are growing about another “sixth wave” of infections because of the omicron variant.

Science, real science and then just common sense! In our hands and in our minds we know it by innate intuition. The world is ablaze and in a buzz about Covid-19 and clearly under stress. Useless and contradictory information on a daily basis comes to us in a frenzy, but at this point we--all of us-- know the "vaccines" do work. This is clear. No doubts whatsoever. There is no vaccine and the Emperor wears no clothes. Why is the bar always and ever changing? I f you haven't grasped it by now, you never ever will. God bless you none the less as a I truly feel sorry for you. Ignorance is the cancer which has become your karma.

If he has no inclination to attempt this, then yes, be harsh.

The World Health Organization Tuesday warned Omicron was spreading at an unprecedented rate and urged countries to act as drug maker Pfizer said its coronavirus pill was effective against the variant.

Posted in: WHO sees unprecedented Omicron spread; Pfizer says COVID pill effective See in context

If Omicron is a weaker virus you actually want to get infected by it as it is almost like a true, attenuated vaccine. The commercial vaccines are not true vaccines in any sense of the word. A true vaccine stimulates the two main arms of the immune system. One is antibody production (IgM and IgG) and the other is the cellular-based humoral immune system, ie, Killer Cells. The latter is more important in preventing disease, but these commercial vaccines do not stimulate this, the most important part, of the immune system. These synthetic gene based therapies largely just produce neutralizing antibodies in the blood stream which do not stop the vaccine at the forts or ports of entry in the mucosal cells of the lungs to stop an infection before it has even a chance. This is basic Immunolgy 101 . This is why none of the commercial vaccines have not worked to date and will never work. And from what everyone is witnessing it is self evident. If you can't see it you aren't thinking straight.

Posted in: Omicron v Delta: Battle of coronavirus mutants is critical See in context

This is the biggest question a certain writer on this forum has. It has neve been described by anyone as far as I know. Well, clearly it might be possible, which would mean the infected happened to be in the presence of two infected people with two variants, I guess. But I don't know. To me, it just is another example of mass hysteria of the uneducated.

the biggest question I have is what happens if someone gets infected with both strains simultaneously? Could that lead to a new strain and possibly one even more deadly than its parents.

Posted in: Kishida, Gates agree to cooperate over COVID, nutrition summit See in context

By the way, this article talks about the cooperation between The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and Japan regarding the cooperation between them on the Covid-19 Vaccine Global Access Facility and the Tokyo Nutrition for Growth Summit 2021. Neither is explained in details nor how they are related except for this vague sentence. I am perplexed about what this is really about.

The summit on malnutrition issues, including both a lack and excess of nutrition, will be held with overseas members participating virtually amid the spread of the virus.

All of a sudden, I just had a major change of heart on everything that I once stood for. It was an epiphany, a major jubilee and true revelation from God! I just think everyone should get vaccinated and have boosters the rest of their lives. Preferably, a booster every 6 months if not even sooner. We will finally be at peace with all governments, medical institutions, etc. and Covid-19 will just disappear and be a thing of the past. I am so excited and happy about this.

I wish to --and I must-- therefore apologize to one and all, and admit I have been one dastardly selfish person. I can see clearly this now. However, I am in line with the current thinking. Vaxxines are the way to go! No question about. Love the vaccine!! And cherish the booster!
