News Flash: pedestrians and cyclists have the right of way in Japan. It is the car drivers responsibility to yield to them. Like it or not, that is the rules. I can't count the number of close calls I've had when I totally had the right of way but some driver just wasn't paying much attention. Also I have covered a lot of ground and i don't ever remember seeing a bike that had "no reflectors or lights." Bottom line, if someone "comes wobbling out into an intersection" it is up to you to yield. Most people, not all i admit, but most tend to obey the crosswalk signals unless it is really obvious nothing is coming. usually these close calls come when i have the green light, the traffic going my direction also has green light but somebody wants to suddenly hang a left or right turn.

a lot of people jumping to conclusions. of course owner, employees, and customers new about the mirror floor "selling point" every other person said "what's they big deal" then drawing comparisons with stip clubs etc...it's not only the license that is needed, but there are distinctly defined "pleasure zones" in the city, that's why you dont see soaplands on every corner. but then you enter the red-light district and they are lined up in rows. i am drawing a conclusion of my own here, but as most of you have stated, there are certainly lewder businesses in existence, and it would be hard for anybody to believe that he was trying to secretly view panties with a discreetly placed MIRRORED floor, i think it is a safe bet that this was a code violation, license or zoning.

What I think is crazy is that most of the radical republicans i know don't even have much money. yet they blindly support the party on things like tax breaks for the rich.

Muddymud: please read more carefully. "Soreleftarm" was using an iPOD not an iPHONE. No rules broken.

actually even soreleftarm's strange version states he was using an "Iphone" not an Ipod. but whichever it was, ojiisan should have stuckthe device up the rude dude's keister. but really the alternate version presented by a poster just does not ring true. i know newspapers don't always get the facts right, but with so many witnesses to this situation, i don't think they would be so wildly off the mark on so many points. as for the big question "who is the idiot that pushed the button" i am guessing if soreleft arm cried "help, help, i'm afraid!" and called police, he probably also is the guilty party that pushed the button, out of sheer terror for his very life in the face of ojiisan's wrath. thus landing 70,000 commuters in limbo....both parties behaved strangely and could benefit from a psych evaluation.

yes, my first reaction would be to "want to punch him" but that would get me deported, however i can think of many other options such as putting up my phone, or moving out of priority. i dont think shielding my face and crying "help, i am afraid" or calling police would even be considered. and going to the doctor because ojiisan punched your arm is really dooshy. sounds like this guy is going to try to swindle the old guy out of 3 weeks wages...dooshy....very dooshy

IAMTHE1 you are wrong on every count..."herbivore males" do not constitue 100% of the population and practically every place that is livable is easily rented. huge population density insures you will find some renter unless you bought a prime piece of property on battleship island (Hashima)

Honestly I think Obama has done a terrible job...he lied about so many things....he hasn't closed Guantanimo, he hasn't got us out of Iraq. His mistakes and bad policies are too numerous to list, and we can all thank Sarah Pallin for that...she single handedly put Bama in the white house....any other person on that ticket and Obama never wins....now these idiots want to rally around her and put Obama in for four more? are you guys just trying to needle the dems or are you really just total blind sheep? about the korea mispeak...Pallin immediately cleared it up by saying "I meant East Korea" 8 seconds later...i wish the tea party would all take turns tea bagging her so the only things to come out of her mouth were nom nom mfff nom.
