I'm not a Hongkonger, but i love HongKong. I've ever lived there & i can even speak cantonese now. This demonstration in my personal view, has gone wrong. I had lived in Jakarta during the 1998 riot, although it was different, somehow it still looks the same. The damage is the same. It could take years to recover what they've built. And in the meantime, outsiders could go on a buying spree for their properties, stocks & shares. Especially from the mainland. So somehow the mainlanders are gaining more power since they could have more bargaining power in the end. So, are those 5 demands really able to save them? I don't think so, if it means they would have nothing left in the end.
