Read the Quran; their Holy Book calls for death to anything not of Allah. Their words, not mine. And please don't waste my time telling me the sins of Christians, Jews, etc. 1) I'm an atheist. 2) Christians and Jews aren't trying to migrate to the US and 3) the vast, vast majority of terrorists attacks in the US have been carried out by Muslims. And before you start about gun control and homegrown nuts, let me say that I agree with you that far more people are killed by natural born Americans but we are stuck with them. Membership has its privileges; we owe squat to countries that cannot get their acts together.

@Strangerland. You are correct that you cannot fight an idea but you can prevent a group that preaches death to anything that it does not approve of----like radical Islam.

I agree with pieces of what you said and insinuated---disasterous Iraq War, etc.--- but if the west's decisions are to partially blame for Radical Islam and it's spread, why are countries like France and Germany having problems? Could it be the real cause of radical Islam is their doctrine? And shouldn't' the US proceed with caution instead of throwing open the doors?

Let me preface what I am about to write by saying there are a lot of great women---many of them who are single mothers and not by choice---who do the work of two or three people. These women are beautiful beyond words on a variety of levels. My comments are directed at the spolied brats who thought once they got married everyday would be like a Sunday date.

Ladies, the next time you feel oppressed because you have to do a little cooking and cleaning, remember the following points.

1.) Your husband and children spend most of their time out of the house. From the day your kiddies enter kindergarten, you will have at least six hours of freetime. You can do what you want, when you want. Your husband can only dream of such as arrangement.

2.) You do not have a schedule. When---or even "if"---you do something on a particular day is decided by you. Your husband by contrast must start and finish things at a certain time or there will be a consequence. You don't understand why your husband is so uptight because.....

3.)You do not have a boss. Probably no one---certainly not your husband---tells you to do anything, how to do it or to do it better. Your husband on the other hand has multiple bosses he must dance around.

4.) You do not have a wife who complains about EVERYTHING. I swear most Japanese women are only happy when they are miserable. Your husband comes home at night after working a job that is not fun and the minute he gets into his house it's "you're late," "you stink," "you didn't put something away," "you did this too much," "you didn't do that enough," and on and on and on.

So, the next time your are stressing about how hard it is to put clothes into a machine and pour soap into the right dispenser and push a button, remember that your husband works at least sixty hours a week and gives you all the money so he can be criticized for not helping you with your oh-so-difficult tasks.

It's called "straight talk" Noda. Of course you don't get a lot of that in this country---not to one's face, at least----but direct, clear speech is a good thing not a bad thing.

Multiculturalism is fine but it must be controlled and it must be legal.' You "we are a nation of immigrants" folks need to check out old photos of Ellis Island; you will see lines and order, not mad dashes across the desert.

Folks, this is AMERICA we're talking about. The vast majority of Americans are individualists who abhor the idea of being taken care of or labelled. We may unite for certain causes at certain times but that is the exception rather than the rule. The whole idea that a president could---or even should---doesn't stand up to reality.

The question assumes that the country WANTS to be united. It doesn't and that's fine.

While I feel for the people of Fukushima who lost their livelihoods, it's time for these same people to realise that this government does not care about them and move on with their lives. If you don't help yourselves, you are not going to get helped. I am not by any means suggesting that the Fukushima people are lazy or self-serving but it's been almost six years and the government hasn't done anything substantial and is not going to. You folks are going to have to pick up and start over. It's sad and unfair but it's the only way you can salvage your lives.

I think it's refreshing to see a president push back when he is unfairly criticized. Get used to it; Trump is not a spinelss wimp like many other presidents we have had. If you attack him, he is going to respond. If you need a safe space, go re-enroll in college.

Hope they have a permit. It's required and it's the law. People who wanted to protest President Obama's inauguration needed one. Ditto for former presidents Clinton and Bush.
