Quite indicative of misogyny being very alive and well in Japan. A so many aspects of this country are still mired in the stone age. Their concepts of womens' roles seem to be twisted. This guy was probably angry cause, women don't cater to his every need like his mommy used/ does to.

Good Grief! Another article proving Japan has a long way to pull itself out of the 'Stone Age.' No wonder it's population is declining.

"Cannot compare America to any other country. All countries are unique."

(Rolls Eyes in Amusement) I can compare America (Mexico America? Brazil America? Peru America? Canada America? Xyz America?) to any country I want. How correct the comparison may be is another thing. This article displayed multiple similarities in the universal human condition when reacting to effective marketing.

Yes, all countries have unique features.

(sigh) It's cause they wear flip-flops so much when they are little. When you walk with your feet straight the flip-flop comes off. When you walk with your toes pointing outwards, the outside of the heel strikes the ground and feels uncomfortable. Therefore, the children learn to walk pigeon-toed. it keeps the flip-flop from coming off, and it doesn't hurt the area of the heel as the front ball of the foot is striking the ground. It used to be more common than it is now. Just an observation. I like it better than they think it's cute.

Any fool can pull a trigger and kill someone, and many do (Murder rate in U.S.A.). The farther away the target is and the more technology used, the less connection as a human they are perceived. Take 'em to dinner.... then choke 'em out with your bare hands. Watch their eyes bulge. Or... shove a blade between their ribs into their heart. Make sure you turn the blade sideways so it slides between the ribs easier. No, slicing! Stick 'em... If you don't get a 'Gumby' you ain't doing it right. Oh boy... I am starting to drool and shiver.

I prefer being in close and using cold steel across the throat. Now that is a thrill! Especially the smell and the feel of the hot wet blood as it pulsates squirting out of your hands. The gurgling sounds are awesome too. In defense of the method, I prefer sniping over NBC. That is so nasty~. Ugh. Calling the guys "cowards" seems illogical. They still get shot at. And Kyle got down in the streets and in close too. That Fat turd of Moore is just bucking for attention. Love that 1st Ammendment~.

If anyone can find it before I do, please post.

Uh.... I hang out with people who work and or worked for Sony. They have some disgruntled employees. Lots of them. Some of them are pretty darn smart too. Surely, some of them could of orchestrated the attack and covered it up with a smoke screen. It is definitely water cooler conversation here at the big tall decaying building on Via Esprillo in San Diego.

"“The takeaway will be, for those who can relate to him, will be healing, to relate to a vet who has gone through similar things that Chris has gone through, and maybe not feel so alone,” he said. "

Feel so alone? How about feel so F(*&^%$^ angry for us being there in the first place. Oh, wait, "It is not for us to ask why, just for us to do or die." Yeah, right. Sounds like a line from the indoctrination script of Boot Camp XY or Z.

Tell yah, what... there are a bunch of pissed off vets out there who are going to relate to this. Especially, the ones who have multiple combat tours. And we wonder what was it all for. Oops. Excuse my tangent.

One thing I am going to want to see is how the chaos and heartache is displayed about the reunions and deployments. I remember so many divorces after units coming back. Sad... And civilians will never.... NEVER able to relate..... period. Hell, most of them haven't left their Mommas' teat for a week, much less 6 months, again, and again.

Hope there isn't any killing in the name of Old Glory and Yankee doodle Dandy. Also, I wonder if there will be the standard cliche shot through the scope of the enemy as in almost every other sniper movie.

Do I sound bitter? I'm working on it, okay!

Sony headquarters itself, officials have refused all comment and referred questions about Sony Pictures to the movie division’s headquarters in Culver City, California.

Working at a Japanese company subsidiary here in San Diego, I recognize this as to mean, "We will tell the division's headquarters what to say."

No Way! Sony Pictures did NOT make that decision.....

Whoa Bertie!! Good Quote!! I am impressed. Yes, I recommend "War is a racket," for all these gung-ho-boots-on-the-ground hawks. It boogles my mind how the American People are bamboozled by the U.S. Military Industry. Like 'ole Smedley suggests, follow the money and find the real reason.

Again Bertie, great Quote! Oh, and you won't find "War is a racket" on the Commandants reading list. At least it wasn't the last time I looked. It would dilute the Koolaid they issue in Boot Camp.

All in all, what a waste of resources.

Japan is so doomed. This is just indicative of Japan's lack of foresight and all effort to protect the privileged few (Chrysanthemum Club?). I shake my head in disbelief at this country as it commits "National Seppuku." Of course, the apathy of the voters, or should I say non-voters begets the outcome.

@NegishiHoldout

I so agree with you! My first wife's family is from that area. Many years ago when I was stationed at MCAS I would spear wild boars for the neighbors. Farmers were asking me all the time. I got so busy on the weekends that my wife's family was scheduling my time and collecting money for services. For some reason, Japanese seem to be squirrely when it comes to killing animals Yeah, I know, it is not just a Japanese phenomena, but a modern human 'condition.' However, it seems more pronounced in Japanese Culture with their Buddhist traditions Yeah, I know... don't get Buddha involved. Oops. Sorry for the tangent.

We were making so much money that my brother-in-law got some hounds from somewhere. It came to a point I was making twice as much money killing boar than I was in the Marine Corps, even with the Yen rate at 360 yen to the $ (Yes, it was a long time ago).. Alas, I transferred back to the States and have never been back. BUT, I ALWAYS wondered, how many I could of slaughtered if I'd have had a compound bow. I hear the monkeys are getting bad in Yamaguchi too... and that they bring 60,000 a head. Can anyone verify that? I might resurrect my skills.

Yep,,,, if I would of had a bow.... Oh, is it really illegal to hunt with a bow in Japan? It was probably illegal to kill 'em with the spear too, huh? Or even to have a spear that I had made in the Airframes workshop on base.... huh?

From what I've read Japan has changed so much.... (sigh)

So, they could say, "More Americans are Killed by a Big Mac than a Mac-10." a Mac-10 being one of the favorite firearms of close-up spray and pray gangbangers of the late 80s and early 90s.

The truly astonishing part of this is that some 28 victims were killed and 113 were injured by a group that did not use firearms, bombs, chemicals or any modern weapons to accomplish this.

Back on topic,

Sounds like it is on topic to me~. I'm curious if everybody just ran or if any body tried to "Kung-Fu" em. And if the 113 wounded were stabbed on trampled. And I so want to know how many attackers there were and what their agenda was. I will be looking for an update.
