“Drunken Australians... Isn't that an oxymoron? Lol”

Gaijinland, mate, you may want to grab a dictionary and check the meaning of oxymoron. You’ll find that something more along the lines of “sober” rather than “drunken” makes a lot more more sense.

Swimming is the only exercise where I feel great before (I anticipate jumping in the pool with joy), during (I don't get worn out or check the time) and after (cool, refreshed, enegized.) I've tried many exercises, but swimming beats them all, hands down. Highly recommended, and most wards have at least one indoor pool, open year-round.

I hope that whatever vaccine I’m eventually given in Japan will be compatible with what the Canadian government requires for jumping quarantine.

"Violence against women and girls was already widespread before the pandemic." Men, stop beating women and children. If you're angry, whether warranted or not, open the door, and walk out of the pressure cooker. If you need to hit something, punch the pavement. Done.

Posted in: Eco-friendly, healthy plant-based meat in spotlight in Japan See in context

I’ve been asked many times; “Why do you want something to look and taste like meat if you’re a vegetarian?” Many vegetarians didn’t give up burgers because they hated the taste or texture or shape (although for some these are certainly a few of the reasons they went off meat). I LOVED beef burgers. I gave up meat for many, many reasons, but taste wasn’t one of them. “Beyond Meat,” etc... allows me to indulge in a bit of nostalgia once in a blue moon for a “real” burger taste without compromising the reasons I gave up meat. I’m really happy to have more of these choices becoming available now in Japan.
