The millions of times I’ve heard the divorce word during an argument. Women use that word as a weapon and they’re almost always empty threats. But since he physically attacked her and had in the past, she was probably serious and had a good reason.

Um... I've never once threatened divorce during a disagreement with my husband. Have you ever thought maybe your wife just wants a divorce?

We got lucky this year in Japan (lucky?) that the rainy season was off... Most of the most humid heat was through July and early August. At least right now it's bearable heat and it looks like it will remain that way for a while.

Every sports day my daughter has ever had (except this year) has been in early October and in the low 30's. Today didn't even break 30 which is amazing for August.

Of course now that I've said that I'm sure I've doomed next year to be 35+ again until the end of September.

I went from writing out my will, selling my old things, suicde notes and self harm from being stable enough to get out of bed and take my first breath of fresh air in over 2 months because of antidepressants.

Of course they're overprescribed. Maybe we're not even entirely sure how they work, but they save lives, and not only mine.

I got very cruelly criticized by my first OBGYN for not coming in when I miscarried because I could have potentially "saved my baby". Basically blamed me to my face for losing a very wanted child and told me to be more responsible.

It was Sunday. Start to finish was over in a horrifying 30 minutes. And I went in Monday and waited for 5 hours because I didn't have an appointment. To be yelled at.

I have never, ever, had a good experience with an OBGYN or midwife here. One time its unfortunate, two times it's bad luck, 3, 4, 5, on and on... the system is broken. I've had 3 total miscarriages, two in the first trimester, one in the second. A healthy child afterwards. I was treated like absolute sh*t every single time.

Maybe a plane tracking system first........

I got my booster last week... first two doses were Pfizer, then I got omicron and I just got the Moderna booster. I was the only person at the vaccination site, it was strange. They had tons of workers, nurses and like 5 doctors but I was the only person that came in or out the whole 25 minutes I was there. It was weird. I also got pretty sick the next day but all well and good now. I would say they've either over ordered or just nobody wants a booster. Shrug.

The winner is almost always contentious and based on one bias or another.

In a day to day sense, not really, but my mother in law makes me throw handfuls of salt and her when she goes to visit her relatives graves or goes to a funeral (which happens a lot).

Also when I was pregnant she made me clean all the bathrooms in our house. She gave a religious reason for it but 9 years later I'm still annoyed by it lol

No no... that's per day, if you use pads. Plenty of women can't depending on what they're doing in a day as pads don't allow for certain clothes/activities.

I'd say if you have a light/regular period it's about 2000 yen a month-ish. Menstrual products are not only pads fellas. Probably at least two days of painkillers for your average woman as well.

Meanwhile I bled heavily for 18 months, every day when my daughter was just 2 years old, and required very expensive medication, hormones, weekly blood tests for iron levels, etc., supplements... because I have endometriosis... a surprisingly common and horrifically painful disease. Luckily I had the funds and a decent amount of support. Most people don't. If I only had 150000 yen a month to pay for everything in my life I would not have even remotely been able to afford even 1/4 of the menstrual products I required just to be able to leave the bloody house every day.

We get it bros, you can do basic math. Yeah if you have an exceedingly simple cycle and absolutely no mitigating factors you're probably looking at a 15$ a month expense. If you're conservatively one of the 25% of women who don't fall into this category then it's way more. Sorry to burst your bubble.
