It is a shame of Japan. We still do not have strong sense of human rights in our society. It comes from our feudalistic group mind. At western countries where individualism is strong, human rights are better (I do not say well) observed. Younger generations of Japan have better consciousness about human rights but not so in old generations. It must be taught at schools to children and the country and society must awaken the pubic attention and the government must enforce it often. The government is behind.

The Avenger

Have you lived in Tokyo in summer? It is not just hot but it is so muggy. Living in Tokyo, we often wake up because it is very hot at night.

Families of the crews think why they have to engage in dangerous missions for Japan. On the other hand, Japanese medias will report about dangers of activities of U.S. Forces in Japan. The Japanese government will announce it is regrettable and U.S. Forces have to be more careful about their operations. If it had happened near Okinawa, it would have encouraged anti-base movement.

I wonder whether the Japanese government or politicians involved in this issue. It seems to me there was not sufficient reason to arrest Ghosn.

They will only find out that it was a mistake to hold Olympics in sweltering summer in Tokyo. I cannot understand the summer climate of Tokyo was not in their mind when they decided it.

Japanese paper reported Kagoike and his his wife sent Uniclo winter clothes to Ghosn after his arrest. They were kept at the detention house Moritomo scandal for 300 days. They said they knew coldness of the detention house very well. They expressed sympathy to Ghosn and said he saved Nissan at least.

Nissan is a Japan's defense industry as well. The company was a main producer of the imperial army tanks and other military vehicles. I think they build JSDF military vehicles. That may be a one reason behind this issue.

The argument was first to move dangerous Futenma. Now, they are demanding to move Futenma outside of Okinawa. This is a tall order. I understand they do not enjoy the bases. Nobody wants to live at a place foreign military bases located near to them. No prefecture in mainland Japan want to accept U.S. bases. I repeatedly said they cannot realize it unless they get independent from Japan. U.S. occupation still continues. We all think "shikataganai" because we lost the war.

Ghosn reigned over Nissan too long and nobody could talk back to him. Power corrupts without exception.

Japan's justice system under scrutiny? Nonsense. If Ghosn is not a foreigner, there would not have been such a row by foreigners here. If Ghosn did not do any shady thing, he was not arrested and investigated. It is taking time because it was skillfully schemed.

Abe said to Trump, Japan will buy thirty five F35 fighters from U.S. We want to develop our own fighters but they do not let us. We are sacrificing our defense industries at the request of U.S.

Japan is known as one of the most safest countries in the world. That is one of the reasons foreigners visit and want to live in Japan. The crimes are punished strictly and fairly here. For precise investigations, it takes time.

It is very interesting to see a thorough business man Trump becoming the president of U.S.A. and the U.S.A. foreign relations decided like business deals. It is transparent and easy to understand than politicians handle the foreign affairs which often result in ambiguous conclusions. I hear Carlos Ghosn is a hopeful candidate for the leader of Brazil. Either for Brazil or Lebanon, Ghosn will be a good choice.

Thank you Trump. Owing to your tough stance to China, their aggressiveness and bad manners in this theater have toned down. What was their arrogance at that time? China is a country when they think their counterpart is weak-kneed, they will bully while they think their counterpart is tough, they tone down. In a word, they believe in power.

Oga-no-Namahage is a nonsense. It frightens and scares children. I do not like seeing children crying at the devils when they visit their houses. It does not deserve a cultural heritage. It is a primitive savage tradition.

To rebuild Nissan, Ghosn dismissed 20,000 Japanese employees and cancelled businesses with many affiliated companies. Corporations have responsibility for the society. His glory was gained at the sacrifices of them. What comes around goes around.

No. I did not lodge a complaint. He was a manager in Tokyo and it was accepted by the general manager in the States who visited Japan once in a year and did not know well what was going on in Tokyo. The manager who fired me was fired later for unknown reason. In human world, many unreasonable things happen.

Release Ghosn and send him back to France politely without giving him financial damages. Do not demand compensations. Nissan and Mitsubishi sever ties with Renault.

Posted in: Kelly denies underreporting Ghosn's salary See in context

Money scandal of Ghosn is not the point. It was only used to get rid of him to protect Nissan from a merger with Renault. By merger, Renault which has 45% of Nissan stocks will control Nissan and they will control Nissan and build Nissan factories in France which will help their economy and employment while Japan will lose tax income from Nissan as well as employment. On the other hand, some say Nissan is even today not a Japanese company. Nissan is No. 5 car company in sales of cars in Japan and their profits come mostly from sales overseas. The other says the Japanese government is not concerned about the future of Nissan. They think Toyota and Honda are enough for Japanese car industry. Ghosn is sooner or later have to go for his age. His role of rebuilding Nissan is already finished. He did a remarkable job his first half tenure. He came to Japan as a cost cutter but he was not earnest in cutting his own cost in his latter half tenure.

Japanese medias are reporting all about money scandals of Ghosn inciting jealousy of people. They do not talk much about the uncertain future of Nissan that lost the extraordinary manager. Nissan cannot survive without global development. I wonder Japanese managers can perform it as good as Ghosn. Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry is involved in this affair, I think. They did not want Nissan would be taken over by Renault. I wish this will not sour our relation with France.
