So Japan has these islands up north called the Kuril Islands. They want to make that political statement that they blong to Japan and not Russia.

I bet Russia wont want them if all that waste is "stored" there.

The Japanese government is looking for cooperation from cities and prefectures in storing waste from the March disaster. How about putting everything on the Kuril Islands? nobody there, Japan wants to prove they own the islands. and they are close by.

Does anybody think that maybe the reason U.S. tourists are staying home might be due to the dollar Yen exchange rate???? When it costs an American 25% more to stay, eat, and enjoy the sights of Japan they might decide that the sights around North America are just as good.

Has anybody also heard that the U.S. military is trying to donate items like clothes and bicycles but the Japanese government is refusing delivery? Saving face or just losing out on friendship?
